Isn't Basso already known for being one of the hardest training cyclists in the peloton? Unless they change his training regime (get De Jongh on the case:p) I can't see him just magically improve significantly

He may be over training. You joke, but my guess is that De Jongh will definitely be on his case-we'll know next year if he's just simply too old (he's almost 6 Horner years old!) or was trying poorly before. :D

but they are good friends regardless.

I'm not completely sure, like with others, I've noticed things changed a few years ago. Never any bad words about each other, but not the same. Also they 'unfollowed' each other on twitter, for instance.

I think Oleg just wants a taste of that Sidi deliciousness that Basso cooks up in the commercials.

nothing serious imo. I unfollow people not cuz I dont like them, but Im not interested in some tweets through a period of time. e.g. cycling related during off-season or journalist during gaza-israeli war etc

They are still friends I think.

It was actually fairly friendly, with relevant exchange of opinion.

Yes I agree, I don't think it went over the top and just gave everyone a platform for an opinion. There will always be fans and haters yet a mod just shuts it down.

Would be nice for them to explain why?

Hmm....let´s see. Creates an account for the purpose of bashing AC, lists own never-heard of criterias in what marks a legend, distorts facts and type lies in order to get the negative bias correct, does sweeping generalisations about "AC-fans".

I am shocked and displeased that CN-forum actually legitimated obvious trolling with the serious discussion which followed. And the latter was not thanks to the ****.

Opening line from that thread. "Alberto Contador is a great rider who makes for very entertaining racing. His never-give-up attitude has made him a fan favourite, and rightly so." This is AC-bashing?

It was friendly from the OP's and those who agree with the OP side. Indeed there must be some sort of order and rules, and the ones causing havoc, hurling insults and infantile accusations and going off-topic were Contador fans. Nowhere, never, did the OP infringe any rules.

He was trolling, BigMac.

You certainly contributed to the friendly tone by advising the OP to ignore the "fanboys" which of course is a generalization of which you will once again deny. Simply disagreeing with the OP's biased interpretation of the Contador's accomplishments seemed to make the opposition fanboys in your's and the OP's eyes.
