It's a real shame about Roman, but I have a feeling that Valgren could surprise in this Vuelta.

Valgren seems to be a kid with a future. But can he climb good enough to stay around very long? Maybe he'll turn out to be the Majka from the 2012 Vuelta. That would be refreshing :).

Isnt he more of a classics type of guy?

Also I'm a bit stunned by the general apologetic stance in RK-case...

With all respect to Brienne:D (sorry michael:)) he is a rouler,he will drop almost on the bottom of the climb.

So it's Jesus Hernandez who'll replace Roman as the ninth man for the Vuelta team according to his recent tweet:
Good for Berto!:)

Valgren is very good but not a great climber :( more of a guy for flat and hilly stages

He may not be a natural climber but neither is Paulinho, and he turned out to be helpful in 2012, no?

Indeed, that is why it would be 'refreshing' if he could climb.

The whole injury of jesus was thus an excuse for not letting him ride.

Once again don't trust anything saxo official says.

I don't claim that Contador will be in the same form as in the tour 2014 but i don't think he'll be far from it at all.

Time will tell, he has still 1 week before it really starts and that MTF is not the hardest.

Is Majka going to ride Vuelta?

Considering what has happened to Roman... Even weak and tired, Majka is still stronger than most of Tinkoff squad for Vuelta.

Paulinho is much more of a climber than Valgren.

Which is why I mentioned he could be a surprise, have you really seen that much of him to be able to judge his full climbing potential?

No he is not. He is at the USA Pro Challenge right now.

God I hope no. With next years Giro and Tour on schedule.... 5 GTs in a row? (didnt he ride Vuelta 2013 as well?). He is still just 25......

Contador will have to do it by himself. Just has to be careful not to be the leader of the race to soon

He is riding the USA Procycling Challenge, so it is not possible anyway. Apart from the fact they will not do it of course, if he could.

Riders have abandoned races and started others (in the same time frame as the original race) before ;)

Actually, yes. I am not saying he won't improve, but he's simply not a great climber right now.

Where is your avi?:)
Thats quite a situation, tbh I wanted the one you have. :D I had it like half a year after his vuelta win,its a best pic of him in roja and I love he points out the no.of GT's.Its nice.
So I dont know,..Im a bit superstious about the 'vamos ...' one, I dont want Berto to fall again
I have to figure it out :D (apart from this I want Nairo to appear in my avi,at least a little bit haha, cuz I support him for double,if Alberto wont be able.God I want both to win lol,Berto more, but still...It can be only Nairo chance for double,as a colombian he is a bit obsessed with Tour lol)
