I asked Tiralongo in Aguilar de Campoo, after fuente De stage if Contador has buyed a house for him.. he looked at me bad, but what can I say? he must pay well.

I dont think Aru will do that, but Nieve did, so, important people could do it, Alberto is an expert on that.

Uh..... Tiralongo was just helping Alberto because Alberto helped him win a stage at the giro the year before. Of course gave you a bad look. Odd thing to ask.

Aru is a big fan of Alberto, as is Barguil. FYI.

His team hasn't been showing itself a lot but it wouldn't surprise me if they step up now that he is in red. Paulinho rode surprisingly well today.

Yeah Paulinho surprised me. He might be very important again like in 2012.

Tiralongo is also a close friend, he went to CAS to testify for AC. Not many ex teammates would do that, I reckon.
But I can't see how he could help him unless a Fuente De happened again, or something.

Parrulo has a point, remember Purito was 'bought' to go after the bonus secs from Ricco in -08 Giro?
Pretty sure Tinkov will throw even more money :p

were you expecting from Tiralongo to pull the Mortgage title out of his pockets to show it to you?

This is the Vuelta and his opponents are known cowards like Valverde and Purito, so I don't think it'll matter that much.

Here we go with "cowards" bs. :(

You don't see a question like that as extremely insulting?

I watched his post-race press conference. It certainly seems like he picked up a minor throat irritation. Hopefully nothing a couple of throat lozenges cant control.

Cowards might be a strong word, but they certainly aren't bold riders. Seeing any of them, but particularly Purito, make a move further then a couple k from the finish would certainly be a big surprise.

Great ride today. Tinkoff not strong but I'm still pretty hopeful. No one else has really impressed me of the GC contenders.…really not that convinced about Nairo…he's seemed to be a bit on the back foot thus far. Indeed, I'm not sure he's quite lived up to the billing. Not that he's rubbish, but doesn't seem to have quite delivered all the talked about promise. Not sure what's up with Froome - though i agree with whoever said that 'when the script's off, he can't adapt'. I think it's true of all the Sky Team - look at their performance in the TdF without Froome cf. Tinkoff's. Brailsford's big on controlling the internals and riding your own race etc. but I'm not sure that's always effective for road racing, because there's so many variables that you need to be more flexible. More than anything, though, I don't think Froome or Nairo or others have the mental strength of Contador. I've never had the feeling that Froome is really hungry for this.

Here's hoping that AC can keep on delivering.

For me is insulting a rider helping another from another team, except there is a good motivation. They are supossed to be friend, but Contador is a lier, so to be friend of a lier I dont like.

Anyway, that is part of cycling from the begining.
He can do that but he must pay that prize, I said hello in the start of Neila anyway to Paolo, he is sympathic, but that day I wanted to know if he was payed or not.. I dont know...

For me are extremely insulting Contador lies and victimism...

Make up your mind chief. One minute you are claiming you're a fan, the next your calling him a liar. While it is possible for both to be true, given your long love affair with Froome, me thinks you're throwing venom Contador's way because Froome isn't delivering as you expected.

Contador just alowed to win him, Tiralongo did a great job in Fuente Dé.
and I think alberto paid his friend for some work in the past, it was payed. That day we talked about to win La Vuelta. It is not a stage. it is not the same.

I think the big danger man is Quintana. He's already tried to infiltrate one early break and now that he's lost time I can see him try to get into breaks or just going on long-range attacks on every mountain stage. He doesn't really have anything to lose and he'll know that Valverde is sitting pretty and Movistar won't have to chase anything down. Tinkoff should be ok with controlling flat stages, but I don't think they'll be able to control a rampaging Quintana on mountain stages.

A little problem here. He cant do "long range attacks on every mountain" if Valverde wants to sit pretty. That ignites a scenario where Valverde is not sitting pretty any more. Beforehand Movistar opted for gaining leadership on the road. This is beginning to take shape and although Nairo probably will do a soloeffort at some place, just because its his teams intrests of having him higher up, it does not mean he will have free hands to do that whenever it pleases him. His own ambitions, and his teams ambitions, must be balanced with Valverdes. That is why the biggest loser yesterday was Movistar.

And just to make it clear. Only because Alberto is in red doesnt mean TS will necessary have to control everything and burn matches all over the place. If Quintana should go ballistic everytime the road goes up that is as much interesting to Tinkoff Saxo as for Katusha and Sky.

You make good points and you're probably right in terms of how things will pan out as Valverde is quite a conservative rider who seems to be fairly happy with podiums. But if they want to win this thing then having Quintana pace Valverde up mountains doesn't seem the way to do it. History tells us that Valverde can't beat Contador in a fair fight considering the way things currently stand. The joker they hold is being able to send Quintana up the road and trying to exhaust Tinkoff and isolate Contador. Chances are that Quintana will blow up, but Valverde may be able to profit.

Yeah welcome to my last years as a Contador fanboy, seeing him getting his a** kicked by Froome everywhere. Just deal with it :p
