What interest did Valverde/Purito have in helping the red jersey yesterday? Gain less time with their sprint in the end?

And many would say that Valverdes sprint/attack at the end made up for the wheelsucking.

In the end it's about respect. Both Purito/Valverde yesterday and Contador today did the right thing. Purito/Valverde got insulted endlessly yesterday, today it's "GREAT CONTADOR"... some consistency and more importantly some respect to the riders would be nice. "Respect the riders, not his fans" is my motto... Good Contador, while x posters here are just nothing more than dirty little worthless cowards.

Yeah Alberto did wheelsuck Froome for 3km.

In case anyone needs a cycling primer when you're leading the guy that is attacking by 1:20 it is up to the attacker to drop you. Froome Couldn't. Froome tried multiple times and with under 1km to go Alberto put the hurt on him and rode away. It was a a grand victory .

Kudos to Froome also, he is making quite a comeback.

There is a tiny little difference between "rider x is a coward" and "rider x should have taken some pulls" Yesterday you were more than happy to insult Valverde/Purito, why not today with Contador? Yes it was a grand victory, but AC only attacked within the last K.

To gain time on Froome, if they all worked together they could have put serious time into him. And now Froome just happens to be 3 seconds away from taking Valverde's 2nd. And for the record, I wasn't coming down on Valverde for his tactics yesterday almost at all. They were understandable given the last GC stage.

By the way, drop the insults or you may soon be seeing some time away from the forum.

Why do you assume it is Contador-fans who bashed Valverde yesterday? Pitis never been a popular man on these boards.

And there is a world of difference in marking your overall lead with marking the overall leader.
