Some info: it seems Alberto will target both the Olympic RR and ITT, he says both are quite hilly and suit him well.

Looking forward to Spain's shenanigans with Contador, Purito and Valverde, who obviously can't race together all that well, and only two domestiques.

Contador when riding for the Spanish team has never really screwed over anybody AFAIK.

Not quite, but he isn't exactly domestique material either, and the other two are quite capable of screwing up on their own anyway.

I wouldn't say that. Contador always rode for the team.

Olympics '08 for example, although i personally don't think he was going all out knowing he didn't do that much but was a beast in the ITT. Prob saving himself for it.

But in the all worlds races he did (08,12,13) he raced for the team. He even put the spanish team in an ideal situation in '12.

Purito and piti are just tactically incompetent. Combine those together and knowing they dislike each other, yea

He did an OK job a couple of times, but nothing to write home about. And crucially, his role in the team was explicitly to help Valverde, whereas this time he should be a contender himself. It's going to be hilarious, like the worst times of Italy back in the day.

I think it was 2013 Worlds, Alberto brought back a group to the peloton with either Piti or Purito in it or both, I don't remember exactly

He did that in '12 worlds when his group got caught, he just leaded out the peloton for a few km.

But yea he won't be a domest in olympics, will be funny lol

No that's not what I meant. I think it was 2013 (it was in the rain) and either Piti or Purito was caught behind a split and Contador brought this group back to the peloton.

That would be very interesting, although I am not sure if Riis will manage to keep the team running.

I would love it, but then I am Danish so I'm biased. It will be hard for any manager to match Sky's talent at the moment though with the addition of Landa and the way Thomas performed at the Tour.

I think Landa was quite strong in this Lombardia and he can do it quite well next year in Lieje. I think he should be one more.

He can select Indurain and Delgado for all I care, as long as Alberto is allowed to go on the attack and win the race

I know he's wearing winter gear, which can add a lot, but he does look as if he'd been enjoying his break.

That looked like my old hamster I used to call Mr. Chubby Chubby McChubby

Very funny, considering the only win he had in 2013 was in January

It wasn't Sky's superior's training methods that won the Tour for Froome that year, it was the Cound's inferior cooking skills

Tomorrow evening there will be a UCI cycling gala in Abu Dhabi, Alberto arrived yesterday morning, he will receive an award for his Giro victory (is it just me who feels it is a little weird to give riders an award for a race they won and already got a trophy for  )

Anyway I am not complaining as it means more pictures of him all suited up :)

Froome will be there too hopefully he'll wear his epic beige jacket-blue tie-grey jeans-sneakers outfit again  :D

That guy on the far left looks like a middle-aged insurance salesman who has wandered into the wrong convention hall.

How did the song go?
One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong

Am I completely stupid or is there someone else who has no idea who the guy on the right side is?
