He's right about that Fleur but comparing those climbing times of course is *** cause it lacks context.
Real champions always go out with a bang, with one last effort. Look at MJ with the bulls, look at Kobe getting 2 more rings when he wasn't in his prime anymore, there are many other examples.
Aslong as he doesn't win the tour again, the story isn't complete. Just one more time.
According to a few, Contador only needs to be close to his 2014-level to win the Tour!

bajbar said:harryh said:So Alberto was over a minute slower than in 2009 in a climb lasting under 15 min. Froome will destroy him (again) in Ventoux.
Hw would go much quicker if he didn't have Henao with him. Not 2009 like, but 20-30 seconds quicker would be possible. You have to take into consideration that today was wet and that they had a killer stage even before the final climb.
Matteo. said:In Giro 2011 he was stronger than Tour 2010 where I do not remember an action ''worthy'' of note apart Mende. Just then compare his TTing in Giro 11 and Tour 10...

2014 level is good enough , he kicked froomes as% and destroyed and toyed with him at the Vuelta remember that ?
I'm sure your reply will be full of excuses for froome getting a beating from bertie.
The fact you mention the Mt Ventoux attack when the data proved that attack was not that special shows how little you know. 2014 BABY![]()
Miburo said:I've no clue how fast he could have gone on the ventoux, still disappointed in him that he didn't just ride there FTW.

They didn't finish The 2014 Tour de France. Vuelta was just a training ride for the 2015 Tour where Aplerto showed his recent TdF class, again. This year poor old Alppuerto will be beaten in TdF by several riders, again. But hey, he already has won enough to make him almost as great champion as his former team mate LA is. Chapeau to both of them!

Context. Stage was harder, weather was harder, etc. He finished solo with just 8s on a quite a groupBlurryVII said:bajbar said:harryh said:So Alberto was over a minute slower than in 2009 in a climb lasting under 15 min. Froome will destroy him (again) in Ventoux.

Spot on but the thing is... he cannot understand that. Way too complex for him to process.
He's got that dead end logic, ya know, AC couldn't beat thomas in PN, so he'd never beat Froome and Poels in Catalunya lmao. Y'know what I'm s4y1ng.
Dont write about that. It will only be used as an argument why froome and AC would have kicked nibali's ass in that tourRed Rick said:Context. In 2014 Nibali climbed PdBF slower than in 2012. Think about that
