Actually Taxus is gonna analyse why Bertie lost time in the second part of the itt, maybe you can all meet and analyse together. Maybe also Landa's new superclimbing style he showed yesterday and his improved itt today.

I am going to my girlfriend house, so I wont do these days... but it is quite simple, Contador use to go to plus to less in the ITT, as well in his attacks...he was as welll the best time in the first climb in Pekin, but he was fourth at the end. That is not a problem when you have got so many time before, Contador is the best rider maybe on History of cycling for these kind of ITT.

The better new today is that contador is changing his mind about abandon cycling... so I hope to see him next year.

I will take times is you ask me in the next week. For sure Contador didnt take risk, but he was full gas at the end, and he said that in the interview, it wont be difficult to take times with Quintana from the start of the final climb and the finish line, about 4 km.

I'm happy with his spring. A stage win and podium in his first race, he would have won PN...don't care what Sky fans say - the only slight disappointment (as Blurry mentioned) is when he was dropped by Quintana. Other than that for it was great spring. Hopefully the Dauphine is as awesome as 2014.

In 2013 he did in the Tour a hard ITT at this level, so I dont have much more to say.

So what? If he was in top form, we can only assume he'd have beaten Froome by at least 30 seconds in that 2013 ITT.

He beat him by a large margin in Vuelta 12' and Vuelta 14' hilly TTs. He was in a better form than Froome in Vuelta 12' but it just shows that he's more gifted for those Hilly TTs overall and so he shoud've beaten him in 2013, but he was in such a bad form that he couldn't but still came close.

I just checked. At the end of the descent, Contador was 8-9 seconds up on Quintana. He also took some corners in the final km very easy so that makes another 2-3 seconds and here you go. The final difference was 5 seconds. They rode the flatter parts at basically the same time.

Re: the hilly TT in 2013; Seeing as all of this remains pure speculation, one could only wonder if Contador had retained his lead from the second intermediate time if he, like Froome, had switched to his TT-bike for the last descent. Regardless, and despite Froome's domination in the 2013 Tour, that stage was actually quite enjoyable to watch, IMO.

Including his domestiques as you refere it to all the time cause you got nothing objective and actually something smart to say to logically hence your case and believe it more yourself.

However you may pride yourself as a guru, the difference was on the climb, where AC simply crushed it. As for the rest, let's see if Contador can arrive at the Tour in his best form and then let us see how the others fare. But this hasn't happened, yet.

Good, Quintana and Froome have already talked about the Giro-Tour double because of the 100th Giro, it could be one hell of a field.
Alberto riding one more year with his own team would be pretty cool.

You should go back a few months ago on this thread when fleur and her gang were bashing me for saying contador was lying his ass off when he said he was gonna retire.

He always said there was a chance he would continue, for example if he crashed or started his own team.

I hate to be that guy, but this doesn't mean much when it's Froome he's going to face in July. Contador could have beaten him in all races prior to the Tour and, were I fan, still wouln't get too excited.

Sometimes, you just have to enjoy the moment! I don't think anyone has forgotten Froome, he will be a beast and hard to beat.

Just got home and very pleased to see a Bertie win. IMO all those stupid comments about Landa being a better climber now get put to the trash bin.
It was clear that Bertie was trying save his energy for the tour at last years Giro and only unleashed when he needed to.
Brilliant stuff and bodes well for the tour. No injury's or set backs and we will see Froome get another beating like in 2014.
I would add to that, I hope Foome gets his sh5t together because we don't want another year of disappointment with form or injury's etc.

How is changing your mind or just seeing how things go " make you a liar"
Has Bertie Killed anyone or made someone homeless or changed the whole political and economical situation so that all civilisation will end on Tuesday due to his change of mind about retirement. FFS even when he had a hairline fracture after the tour [2014] that does not effect the way Froome or other riders race. Stop with calling Bertie a liar and ask the real question.
