Be good to see how Contador goes in the TT today, should be close to his best shape. See how his power compares to the top boys.

No pressure, nothing to lose, Tour peak form, record numbers, no crash for a few days and a stage up for grabs.

The man looks so proud too. I bet he'll be getting Alberto's signature tattooed :D
Just the signature?! There's enough room for his whole autobiography on that back!

Look at how much heavier Contador was then...I still think he is too skinny now and is losing power on long climbs because of it

Hope he doesn't do the Vuelta ...needs to rest and build to win the Giro and if he wins it which I think he can he should retire on top

He will not beat Froome at the Vuelta imo ...Froome is stronger going into the Vuelta than last year and Contador will be riding for lesser places ..and not really great for his morale

But that is just my tuppenace

I'm pretty sure he weighed less back then... sure he had a bit of baby fat on the cheeks but he was way less muscular - especially his upper body. So he needs to be at a lower fat % these days to reach race weight.

Do you know that for certain ? Becasue his torso looks so much narrowere now...And I think he looks tired at the weigh he is at now ...alwasy looks tired

This obession with weight loss comes from SKY imo ...go back 10 years and riders looked so much bigger...

His upper body is so bulky these days. Actually since he joined Saxobank he started growing there. Coincidentally Riis had a big obsession with core training and core stability.

Early on in his career 2003-2007 he was really lithe despite having a higher fat %. Now he can have insane muscle definition and veins all over his body and still his upper body looks large.

I wouldn't say so, but even if they are that would only support my statement because his upper body looks much larger in the second photo.

I agree he looks a little tired these days but he isn't getting any younger, the years are starting to show on his face
Can't expect him to look like a 20 year old anymore ;) and low body fat percentage makes his face look more gaunt

This. Tired and oldish :(.
At least his hair game is still on point. Now he needs to go all out on the beard, though he might look too much like a midget Dan Bilzerian.
