Sometimes he needs a depreciation thread:p

Do not worry this is discussion thread so appreciation and depreciation in one.

He still looks fab though, even in such a hideous jersey.

Second that.

I cannot wait for him to return. He can come back and save me from GT boredom. Alberto always does something. He tries and attacks. It's his nature. Admirable qualities for a racer, even better for viewers. Without his qualities methodical calculated boredom has manifested. Boring riders have trains pulling them along. IMO, that form of cycling is killing the appeal of cycling. Wild unplanned passionate violent attacks are what make cycling. Throwing caution to the wind and having a go beat sucking wheels any day of the week.

Very nice summary shows exactly why Alberto is awesome.

Had to remind myself that they actually still are in the sport. Would be disastrous if they left the team, wouldn't it... With all the great effort and riding they've done.

...

Aah, dots will always be the punctuation's equivalent to trollface!...

Alberto caught with 22 tb of illegal porn

Alberto Contador, A suspended cyclist from spain was caught last night after a 13 months long police operation. It is rumored that he was not alone and that at least 5 other people helped him committing this crime.

When police entered his apartment, Alberto was trying to sell his entire collection to a Japanese businessman.

At his apartment police found more than 22 TB of pornography. It is believed that Alberto Contador is part of worldwide child pornography network called HCG or ‘’Happy Children Garden’’.

Neighbors said that Alberto was a modest and nice neighbor but sometimes during the night, he walked alone through the neighborhood in a long leather coat.

According to police investigations, Alberto Contador is facing a long sentence in a range from 10 to 30 years.

Yea, that would be total BS. Prefer if they'd all go to different teams, any team but their old DS's!

I seriously doubt Contador goes to SaxoBank. There is no way he will take the risk of being on a non-Pro Tour team.

His options are

1. RSNT - knows Bruyneel, familiar environment, open to US market
2. OPQS - Solid manager in Lefevre but more Belgium and classics-centered
3. Movistar - Spanish team, solid support, also has Valverde there (positives and negatives).

How about Garmin? IIRC, Vaughters courted him once before, they have both the money and the points plus a strong team to support him, they lack a real GC rider (Hesjedal yes but I don't see him evolving into a true Tour contender), and it's also open to the US market.
