Let's go Kroon.

Have money on Kroon @ $19 - main bet.
Have some small cash on Gasparotto @ $101

Kroon over Freire as a H2H is also the bet.

Would love it if an outsider made the upset of the season and won. And cue the 3456532345 threads in the Clinic as a result. Priceless.

I'd love to see a double Astana victory (here and Castilla y Leon), but would also like to see some Vacansoleil riders mixing it up at the front. For a main pick, I'll take birthday boy Maxim Iglinsky.

just a thought for the cyclingnews live report/ticker, you might want to do what most other tickers/reports do, and have it formatted with the most recent posts/remarks at the top of the page. and having one long continuous page, instead of multiples. cn and velonews are the only ones that do this backwards.

+1 agree...but Kroon will be hard to beat...

Kroon hard to beat? He's never won a major classic, moreover he's not really shown any form this year.

Why is he then all of a sudden some big favorite in your eyes?

I saw a recap of last year. Kroon was saying: "I thought Ivanov was the weakest in our group because when he took turns the tempo dropped by 5km an hour"

He's got a pretty decent sprint, but if you're that naive you'll have to finish solo.

Nice. The official feed is working well but still in pre-race mode.
