Andreas Klöden: “At 20k to go we knew Jens would win. I felt good today on the climbs so I saw the chance to do a short sprint at the end. It was a little hard because it was uphill but the path opened up and I just went for the line. Our sponsors RADIOSHACK, NISSAN and TREK give us so much. This is only a small thing that we can give back since our season has not been as good as we had hoped. But we had good morale all day and to see Jens do such a good race today really lifted our spirits. I will have to check the GC now as I look for the Saturday and Sunday stages to move up and maybe be in the top five here in Colorado.”

when klodi's contract ends?

Are you sure you want to go there? Titles should be *not awarded*.

It's all farce now, so I don't really care, but I'm sure as hell, from now on Andreas is going to consider himself as the TDF champion.

Take this to the clinic.

Back to racing, yes, I was surprised to see Kloden pop up at the top of Beaver Creek yesterday (especially since they lost the feed during the climb...) when was the last time we saw him sprint for a podium ?! Not sure if he has a contract for 2013 but that would go some ways to explaining it...

Congrats to Klodi. I always knew he could do it. Too bad he was cheated out of standing on the top step of the podium.

Take that dr. Franke!!! A clean 37 years old Klody just won the Tour (after another top 11 Tour performance just one month ago), and you suspected him so much in his prime!

Andy Schleck will award him the yellow jersey on a ceremony taking place in next year's first training camp :)

He won a sprint in PN last year.
I think he has one year left with RSNT. Cant find any confirmation though

And he won that against a very decent sprinter if I recall (Samuel Sanchez). It was one of the weirdest sprint ever.

11th in the Tour and 4th in Colarado despite losing his time trial legs. Not a bad season at all for a 37 year old. Next season I hope he tries to top 10 in Giro and/or Vuelta.

It's not bad but I'm not sure I really see the point for the team unless they want to keep on winning the "Team Jersey"? I suppose it's better than nothing until Schecket manages to become a GT contender again and then Klodi might be there to help him win.

6th @ 7 seconds on Malhao is a great result!

Klodi is not cactus :D

Here's hoping for a podium overall after the ITT.
