C'mon Andy is (was) a much better rider than Beloki. Beloki was more solid in his work but in terms of class there is no match.

And Beloki performances belong to the clinic forum... ONCE...Manolo Saiz...;)

From what I've gathered Andy's career links aren't exactly squeaky cleans.

Andy disappoint me a little today, but anyway this year nobody is taking care of him ( I think he is not helping as well...), and he has no the responsibility to dont lose time, so, 1:17 with the leaders shows he is close to his best level, and he even could get it back in this Tour...

That's because he crashed. Anyone know if he's hurt at all? At least he shouldn't have a problem going in breakaways now.

No news from his team....I think he was find. The CN ticker seemed to think so.
Don't you know he wouldn't have had any problems getting into a breakaway regardless of what happened today. :p

All the others know they would need him to be at least 20 minutes back for them to risk letting him in the break. As we all know he'll take at least 25 minutes minimum on Hautacaum. 30 if he decides to go hard.

I read a Sean Kelly blog post, a preview of the Tour. He had something to say about Schleck (hope it hasnt been posted yet).

Can he get back to what he was? Well, if he is putting in the work as he should be, he needs to be doing it over many, many months. If he has been doing that and he is still not getting the form, then there is nothing he can do.

If true, that would imply that either he has been lazy or he won't ever become good again.

Yeah, Andy crashed, but what's Frank Schleck's excuse? He finished in the same group as Andy, losing time for no good reason. Is it that hard for him to finish with 84 other riders at the front? I'm still not sure the Schlecks are really trying these days.

The little hopes remaining for Andy is back to where he triumphed in the past under Riis. But there's no room for him at current Tinkof Saxo.

That "superteam" circus Leopard was, has destroyed him, having no discipline.

Seemed a bit turned around at the post-race interview. Crash occured at high speed, and he didn't just slip but spun around and had to take a second to see where he was and which way he was supposed to be going. But in terms of injury, it's only scrapes and bruises. A few uncomfortable nights and hard days in the saddle, but luckily nothing pulled or broken

I'd like to see him at Sky I think Steve Peters, Tim Kerrison & Rod Ellingworth could be a great help to him.

well i kinda gave up on andy but what the hell happened to frank?
i guess any chance for gc is gone anyway, they have to try from far out or breakaways. maybe in pyrenees they will reach a good level
Too short stages in Pyrenees (Unless Andy wants to try again on Balès :p)
