He has changed this attitude though. Instead of two moments in a year when he lives up to his potential, it seems he's now content with only one: the Tour. There's simply no rider with such potential who does that anymore. Except Andy Schleck.airstream said:well, not really, I understand in outline what you always talk about. I just don't get why the attitude that gives the result for 4 years should be changed.
Cancellator said:No, i think you're wrong, but he hasn't shown sufficient evidence recently to prove without a doubt that you're wrong.
DominicDecoco said:Kim Andersen says Andy won't win LBL since he is 'not where they wanted him be at this time of the season'.

LaFlorecita said:Why would Kim Andersen say that? Seems a bit like sandbagging to me.

airstream said:It has its advantages. If Andy had raced good everywhere, say, on Pays Vasco, Tirreno, etc, the others (Purito, Nibali,...) wouldn't have been unable to show themselves.
He doesn't race enough one day races. We know he can win stage races, he's been doing that for ages. I'd like to see him branch out a bit as a cyclist. He should be racing for the win in the Ardennes, the Worlds, Lombardia and the Olympics.LaFlorecita said:How can you criticise Alberto? I just don't get it.
Love him, okay, perfectly understandable of course.
Hate him, okay, you can think he is a doper.
But criticise.... I just can't see it.

Post of the day.
airstream said:You are cunning. Yesterday if he flitted like a bird and won on Cauberg, you would have come in this thread and started whining about Hogmix and all that stuff.

Obviously he has an excuse to miss a few of those this year.
airstream said:They would really have been in Andy's shade.

3 haughty attitude to the Legend at the top of Tourmalet. The strongest climber got the stage! Let Contador slap on cheeks his puppies!

Angliru said:Didn't he do just that in 2010 for Astana in Fleche Wallone and then in LBL successfully working for Vino? That in addition to the week long stage races he competed in.
Vino attacks everyone said:and it resulted in not quite top shape in the tour.
I think it is wise by Contador to be in 80-85% shape all year and peak only in tour/Giro or this year Vuelta, instead of gambling on a peak also in april
LaFlorecita said:Come on dude it's obvious you're not serious.
airstream said:No, I'm serious. Width of Andy's capacities is almost unlimited, there's everything but TT.
