The Tour organisers have to be seen as giving the race to Andy. What do you want them to do? Not have any ceremony and just leave the result of the 2010 Tour void. Dont be blaming Andy wrongly for what happenned to Contador. It everyones fault bar Alberto I forgot.

And anyway if I lost the Tour to a guy who won it by 39 secs and who was found gulity of a offence I would be livid with Contador. If I was Andy i woulld be saying a lot stronger language then the one he has been saying with regards to the Contador case.

Andy is well within his rights to accept that Tour win. End of.

Did they give Pereiro a ceremony?

I just think it's a big-*** **** YOU to Alberto and Andy is a total ******* for participating in something like that towards someone who was his friend for a while. Not that he still is. Another crap thing Andy did. You don't just drop a friend.

There is a difference between an alternative opinion and trolling. Me = the first, you = the second

That was the stage where Contador attacked on the Colombier and dropped Kloden and then went on to gift the stage to Frank at the end. By him attacking and bringing the Schleck brothers with them Kloden lost out on significant time to them.

To be honest Contador deserved criticism for the way he did that to Kloden.

In your case Siriuscat, I would say it is selective memory on your part.

"In my case"......would you know me as someone else from somewhere else??? :D

In this case it's more a case of too many night shifts not enough sleep....but yeah remember the Klodi incident....

Thing is Berto knew he was being shafted by the rest of the team at the instructions of Armstrong/Bruyneel and as such I think he was in self preservation mode, he was riding his own race by that stage. We know how things descended in the team over the next three days.

Additionally we'll never know what conversation took place betwen Klodi and Berto on the slopes of the Romme and Colombiere because whatever the truth of the matter, Klodi will always follow the Hog Line and like all other press about the 2009 tour it's readable while always taking the Armstrong BS into account.

I want to specify a bit. Contador stated then that he supposedly had asked Kloden if he could attack and Klodi had permitted him. Klodi didn't confirm these words. And later Contador was vastly bawled out on the team briefing, where he cried, tried to justify his move and apologize in everyway. That was another obvious lie though.

Yes. Pretty pathetic Kloden didn't stand up for him. It was a bit like everyone against Alberto. It made me really sad, I remember that. And reading Alberto cried made me cry a little too. So sad.

I also remember reading that people from Caisse d'Epargne who shared the same hotel saw that Lance and his boys were practically badmouthing Alberto while he was with them.

I remember that too, but can't remember if were Astana riders or personal staff of Lance.

Sorry Webbie if you believe that then you'll believe anything mon ami

Well I certainly don´t believe that kloden said ´o yea go for it Alberto I follow ya´ only to get dropped and lose time. I also don´t believe Alberto lied. Just a misunderstanding..

Andy Schleck: There will be no party ("Eine Party wird's nicht geben")

You have now officially won the Tour de France and will be honoured by the organizer. Are you looking forward to it or is it something you don't want to be celebrated for?

No, of course not celebrated. Naturally I understand the Tour the France, that they want to do this, and I will do it. But for me it's not a day to ... I don't even know when it is. There won't be a party.

Still - won is won.

I have the title but you win the Tour on the road. Everyone who rides a bike will understand that I want to win it on the road and ride over the Champs Elysées in yellow.

(...)

How is your time trialing going?

I think it's getting better and better.

What have you done to work on it?

We did many tests, I'm doing more hours on the time trial bike, we changed the position a little bit too... But I'm doing also some training methods that maybe weren't very known in cycling before but which I don't necessarily want to reveal ... it has a little bit to do with mental training. We have already done a lot.

Hummm...

Did Oscar get a ceremony??? I sure don't remember one.

I do respect Andy acknowledging he did Not Win.

I also Respect that 'mental training' is being used. Because this is what the lad needs IMO....he has awesome physical gifts but is weak mentally...they are tackling the correct flaw and it is one that can be modified :)

This boy may turn into a bike racer yet!
