Wiesel must have put up a great deal of money for this kind of allegiance. We know Hein had an account at Wiesel's trading shop that Hein simply confirmed it as true and has no ethical concerns.
What is worse is there's so few people shocked at this kind of behaviour from a sport federation.
I suspect it's because most people understand HOW corrupt most sports federations are, and realise there's not much you can do about it. It's not likely that there's going to be revolutions in the streets, so what can anyone do about it?
This is why I applaud PKimmage for his, albeit slightly over-the-top, position - he's as mad as hell, and he's not going to take it any more. This type of passion and outspoken-ness I would welcome much more.
F*** the establishment - they're doing it wrong.
Take a look at any other number of sports and it's equally bleak though - Football and FIFA, Formula 1 and the FIA (though somewhat less since it's been taken over by Jean Todt instead of Mosley), MotoGP and DORNA.
It's a freaking disaster all over the place. Though out of all the many poor examples of Sports Management above, I still think the UCI make them all look like highly-polished, professional organisations. The way the UCI run cycling makes the sport look like it is the domain of the simple. Which, quite frankly, is infuriating.
