Oh, come one. Sky is a team with a totally new approach. P1ssing off the whole peloton and losing the race lead because of it might turn out to be a stroke of genius...or maybe not.

dimspace said:Sounds very much like the Peloton is divided on this one, with Cervelo doing much of the talking as they did in Qatar. The two teams are likely to be fighting over similar wild cards.. maybe cervelo are trying to show Sky whos boss..
Of course, if Hammond was wiggins mouthing off we'd all be calling him a tool![]()

Winterfold said:What a load of crap. Bennatti didnt seem to think it was on and he won the stage. If Sky kept the hammer down during the feed they were asking for it though. You do wonder how much of this, and blowing Qatar, would have happened if Arvesen hadn't fallen off, but even that seems more like carelessness than bad luck.
Cancellara must be the favourite now?
Cerberus said:That would be my opinion to, Saxo Bank says he's not in top form yet though, but they might just be blowing smoke.
stefrees said:find some of this quite amusing, maybe sky were in the wrong riding hard through the feedzone. But it lacks class to attack the lead rider while taking a slash. cervelo seem to be going out of their way to make enemies, while quite a few other riders have felt sorry for ebh. there could be some interesting alliances between certain teams. i still think ebh has a fair few friends at htc. stupid twitter comment by robbie hunter though, hes a ****. he could learn a lot about humility.
one thing-havent seen a massive fuss coming from sky riders-they seem to admit they made a few riding errors, its the press and other riders making the fuss.
I have never - in my almost 13 years as a professional rider - experienced similar. I am deeply shocked and disappointed. Such things belong in the amateur cycling - not in a pro ride

D. Benatti whilst being over taken said:'who's that?![]()

Just exactly what happened during the 187km stage is very difficult to understand, with almost everyone Cyclingnews talked to giving a different version of events
