I don't think that was fair enough at all. They had the jersey, if Zingle had helped Lafay instead of doing I don't know what, they would have kept it.

I think Lafay lost the GC by probably 15 seconds or more. I doubt that Zingle would have been that much faster on the last lap waiting after the last climb,

If he could have dropped everyone else on the last climb in place of Conci, he would have won.

So it's hardly super bad tactics.

20 seconds gap at the finish and the bonus (Houle got nothing) I think is already more than the gap at the start of the day

This. Zingle shouldve just paced in the beginning when the ALpecin/Houle group went. Lafay couldve made the jump then now they were not riding behind.

Decent debut as a WT rider for 19 year old Max Poole, although he didn't have to contribute to the chase today. Looking forward to seeing how he develops over the next couple of years.

It seems Alpecin rode mainly for Osborne only for him to have a mechanical on the final climb. Couldn’t have happened to him in E-Cycling

Today's stage was a continuation post TDF of strange results and baffling tactics - First, you don't allow a rider on 36 seconds into a break - Second, why didn't ISN helped Cofidis to pace the front of the peleton - After all they are desperate for UCI points and they had three riders who were in the GC shakeup.

Strange tactics, but it's nice to see the Northern destroyer Leknessund win his home race.

Just watched the replay and it was a really exciting stage, the last 30km was constant attacks. They have a very good circuit design. Great racing and great winner.

Great crowds too..

I actually think the final circuit should have been shorter which would allow for shorter rest periods before each climbing part - Then the climbing part would have been more decisive.

Hope Trondheim in the future will apply for the Worlds. They could use the hills they did yesterday and a loop at the other side of the city, something link in the link below. The second climb would be 1,7 km, 8 % with two 400m sections of 12-13 %, and total length of the final lap about 15 km.
