I don’t think it’s the same way. There were serious talks about it around 2016 then it was not an option until last year when they started working last year to make it happen in 2023. I do think they are serious about it, but it might not be possible.

Did UCI make a rule change that there can be only one start in X years in each Grand Tour where extra transfer day is needed (usually after three stages)

2007 (Sardinia), 2010 (Netherlands) and 2012 (Denmark) Giros were examples where there was a rest day after three stages and then one rest day splitting rest of 18 stages.

They changed the rules so that it would have to be an additional rest day if you have one so early in the race.

The KoM jersey is no longer salmon coloured, but has peacock feather patters - like the QoM jersey in ToSc.
Does that mean the winner of the KoM no longer gets 500 kg salmon, but a peacock?
