True...but he may not have a choice. He also doesn't want to sit on a fed investigation witness stand.

Armstrong has made hours worth of admissions against interest on Opie's show. My guess is that Timmy though he had the field covered after Andre was "reached." Wrong, Tim. There are people who care about witness intimidation, and obstruction which includes the death threats against Travis. Travis had a look when he noted the threats on 60 Minutes. All he would say was that he reported them to the FBI. I can tell you that the threats are traceable, even with anon remailers. Lance is ****ed. He knows it. Herman knows it. Stick a fork in him and turn him over. He's done. Maybe Herman, too.

I still find it hard to believe that Armstrong would "go there". He might be a scumbag and a sociopathic bully, but I just can't see him uttering death threats. He didn't do that with Tyler, Lemond, etc. It's not his M.O. Besides, he's not an idiot. He won't be so impulsive to do something so stupid.

One thing Armstrong has repeated shown is that he is impulsive, so much so that it could be viewed as idiocy. Confronting Hamilton was stupid. Taunting Novitsky with Twitter was stupid. I can easily see him threatening the livelihood of a potential witness. He likes to foster an "us vs. them" environment, so I could see one of his inner circle stepping over the line with Tygart. Someone like that could lead to other things that Armstrong has done.

While both are flagrant lies, the fact that you have started to correct yourself underscores that even you are starting to realize how flagrant they are.

Multiple moderators have now modified your recent posts.

Please take the hint.

STOP LYING and STOP TROLLING.

Dave.

They are two different statements both true. Frankie admitted to doping for several years before he retired. He then admitted a further 6 years AFTER retiring that he did dope. SO, he lied for several years before he retired and a further 6 years after. That adds up to the 10 years.

I was asked by one mod to stop and I tried but collectively, forum members continued to ask questions so I answered. To avoid conflicts with the mods, I will not make any more responses to this thread.

FWIW, I read the article and I don't find him credible. I don't believe that no one asked. I just don't. THat is in fact, my opinion and not provable.

That's not a fair tease! Let's not expect/hope that the FBI did indeed manage to trace a threat from hackstrong. Even if it was an obese *** liestrong fanboy who sent a sillily worded death threat, that'd be too juicy for the drama happy Clinicers (me) to bear.

This is a guy that threatened, on a personal level, top brass at CBS, a major TV station.

He IS an idiot, driven by his self perceived invinciblity. Those threats to CBS certainly came back to bite him in the a$$ - as are many of his despicable acts.

Lemond has said in the past that someone put a gun to his head during the Trek scandal, it wasn't Armstrong himself but I'm pretty sure he stands by that story.

Amazing if true, but are you sure it wasn't a metaphor for business blackmail rather than literally pulling a firearm?

the same people who did the leaks that never happen

It is called trolling. Make up something in the desperate hope someone will respond to the babble. Next up something about Betsy or Lemond

LOL, Oh Im sure something about both will almost magically appear soon, you know that. I'm looking forward to ANOTHER "Lemond doped too", "he cheated too...blah blah blah" response in the near future from some socko, it never fails.

He said it in a radio interview that was posted on this forum after Armstrong was stripped and he also said it to Jeremy Whittle for the book "Bad Blood".

I'm sure it was literal and not figurative.

Will post the extract and/or the interview later.

Here's a link to the part of the book where Lemond talks about the gun to the head.

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=...rong+put+gun+to+lemonds+head&output=html_text

As it displays for me scroll down to the bottom of the first page and continue on to the second.

From here it reads to me like its probably literal but could be figurative, if you take it together with the radio interview it's almost certainly literal.

Seriously? Dude, it's clearly figurative, which is why he next states what the gun was "I was under incredible duress from the whole Armstrong camp and my whole business was at stake."

This doesn't really make one proud of that wholesome family owned business called Trek. Lemond has family ties to area near their main facilities/headquarters, didn't seem to help him a bit when Trek felt the pressure from LA. Wonder if any of LA's sponsors will be caught up in the obstruction investigation. Perhaps even a well known foundation acting through its chairman?

It isn't literal. Stuff like this grows it's own legs and runs off out of control. Good fun, though.

Was it a handgun or a Blunderbuss? :D

I can see that you are new.

Odd, isn't it, for someone so new to unilaterally criticize those with so much extensive experience?

Odd, isn't it, for someone so new to paint a simplistic picture of polar extremes in the dialog here?

You could be right, of course. Then again, it could suggest naievete, inexperience or just plain lack of understanding.

Now, as new as you are, and with such few posts, it isn't even possible to summarize you in the same simplistic way as you have tried to dismiss everyone else's contributions.

Odd, isn't it?

Dave.

You do realize the irony of claiming not to swing handbags while swinging a handbag, right?

I realize you don't. You guys are never the swiftest kids on the short bus.

Toodles sockpuppet!

Is this some kind of weird in-joke?

Actually. Forget it. I don't want to know. Just stick me on your ignore list too.
