The drug cheat has been spotted canoeing in the warm Pacific waters just off the holiday island, while he awaits the fallout to end from last’s month’s damning verdict that he ran 'the most sophisticated, professionalized and successful doping program that sport has ever seen.'
In an attempt to avoid prying eyes, the disgraced Tour de France record breaker has also grown a full beard to try and disguise his all too familiar features.

Just read about 6 man canoes in which Armstrong was "hiding" in Hawaii.

The leader sits in the stern. Bow seat next most important. Novice sits at number 5 (Armstrong's seat).

Control freak Armstrong would be a fish out of water!

I particularly like the facetious photo description:

"Armstrong has been spotted carrying out one of his favorite pursuits - canoeing in a traditional six-man outrigger canoe."

Because if there is one thing Armstrong will always be associated with, it is with canoeing in a traditional six-man outrigger canoe.

Someone mentioned the editor of Weisel's book, which I guess relates to Armstrong's financial situation in a distant and fading sort of way i.e. Weisel does. I made a remark about the editor being symptomatic of the sort of enabling that allowed Weisel and Armstrong to flourish financially from the outset because he chose not to decline a job on principal. Most disagree with that stance. However, it's pretty simple.

It has been hard on poor Lance trying to find a sport not governed by the USADA / WADA drug policies.

It goes without saying that he was not required to provide a sample as he stepped out of the canoe....
