On an out and back course 48kph seems quick...then Aussies seem to produce some solid tters.

Haig didn't have his best day either. I'm surprised that Kerby was pushed that close though.

He was blown off course by a mini-whirlwind (no joke).

Considering these Nationals are mostly around open paddocks and small towns, that is not surprising.

Great effort by Hepburn, I knew he was flying ATM but thought that it might be too long for him. Durbridge may still be getting over his flu I guess, he was well up at halfway.

Not entirely sure on Durbo, he has a busier schedule later in the year and may not want to be going too well yet - chances are he's eyeing the Giro TT again and the throat bug won't help either.

Hepburn has always been good at TT's too don't forget (3rd at '11 worlds, current IP WC, 1st at l'Avenir '11 prologue). Hepburn is as big a talent as any of the young aussies coming through, maybe even including Ewan.

Hm, Dennis doing a Steegmans... didn't something similar happen to Bobridge a few years ago? These Aussie nationals are lethal.

IIRC Bobridge was blown off the road by a truck, because the race didn't have full road closures.

Agreed. Already a great palmares and has shown
he can produce results at championship events.

However OGE/ Drapac will chase down any moves that do not have at least one of their riders- so i will suggest Leigh Howard.

Well I'm finalising my plans to watch it live so I don't think that is the case

I'll back Cam Meyer for the win with my wildcard of Cantwell
