You absolutely need a sprinter given there's like 7 chances. Even if it's just between 5 and 10, it gives you a lot of points. So yeah De Buyst should still be in, maybe they can think about the Menten option. I wouldn't send Frison if Ewan is out, no point honestly. And Sepulveda isn't preparing for it, so it would be Moniquet probably.
Anyways Ewan finished, not that it means everything as it was just 3km to go and he looked hurt in the wrist area, but let's just hope he's fine.
I had stated that you do not take Ewan to the TDF until he chalks up a win which he did a week or two ago - The gist of my posts about Ewan was that he demands a whole team around him, yet he has failed to win a stage in his last 3 Grand Tours - If he's fit you take him to the TDF, however you provide less support.

Even though it was due to Philipsen's crash, good to see Van der Poel contesting a bunch sprint once more. Even if he doesn't win the TT tomorrow, he should get into the leader's jersey.

It was actually Pedersen that created the gap (you can see in the overhead), the gap was already there when he delivered Moerkoev.

Lampaert likely to win tomorrow but with VDP close. I wonder if he improved over last years with the couple of times he apparently specifically trained his TT during the last training camp.

He should be close even before putting a bigger effort into it. If he actually trained on it, he should be able to beat Lampaert.

Lampaert is very good especially at 20-25km TT's, Also at shorter TT's but he isn't Ganna or Bissegger in these 10-15km TT's.I'm just saying that Lampaert is amazing at this distance. Apparently not today, but he's one of the best in the world at that distance. It isn't so easy to beat him... Except for today
Van der Poel is physiologically just a superior athlete and if he actually did train his TT, then he should be able to beat Lampaert on this distance.
