Looks to have a very short wheelbase - has it been shunted from the rear?

I think the wheelbase must just about be on the legal limit. I think the black wheels v white frame and the curved downtube make it look smaller than it is though.

Might be the angle. It doesnt look so small in this one (but the wheelbase is still very short)

There's lots that's unusual about that bike but IMO what is making you thinks it's wierd is the bb is very central relative to the top tube effectively drawing the rear wheel right under his **** - which makes wheelbase look short - but then the head tube angle is slack like an aggro mountain bike -so I bet the wheelbase is not that unusual overall

It couldn't be shorter than UCI minimum in any case as you already said

Im guna go mental. Todays stage-
1.Wiggins
2.Cancellara
3.Thomas

So obviously GC would be Thomas as well

I note quoting myself is a bit smug but just to show I called wiggo to beat canc today. Altough I didn't expect it to be that convincing

Top Paralympic athlete came in in a time of:
34:57.23 (wolfgang Saker)

Top Local "Hero" came in in a time of:
34:15.06 (Michael Schulz)

Would place about 90th out of 115 in the pro's

Not bad going at all.

Woooooo TT thomas tank. Malori should not have dropped out of a group yesterday. Albasini i expected to hang onto the lead he seems such a strong rider. Surprised not to see the clinic going mad over BW win over Cancellara. Nice ride Wiggins.

I don't believe he was ever in, I think it was a misidentification on the live ticker.

Me too :)

It's not a huge win but quite a convincing victory.

When he blitzed the national 10 recently he averaged 476W which means he is back to, or at least v close to, his 80+ kg track power - but at 73kg

He seems much more chilled this year too - last year he was a bit of a *** at the national TT, but this years seems to have remembered who he is and how getting changed in a lay-by and a weak cup of tea from an urn is all part of the fun of UK cycling.

Good for him.

A strange one, the times were all quick but relatively speaking I don't think that Cancellara's time was very good, for him. Only a minute quicker than Albasini for instance and a few seconds better than EBH. Thomas was perhaps a little below par too; I don't know how much time he lost through his overshooting a corner.

470 odd for a 10 mile is exactly what Vaughters quoted for him back in 2009 when he posted in the clinic.

The ticker now mentioning that Brad Wiggings cannot follow the peloton?! Bye bye victory for Thomas

The ticker can be wrong too.

Besides he could have got back later.

However I have to giggle at Wiggins apparently having problems to follow the peloton 1 day after a TT win.

Cancellara is just getting back from a break and said on Twitter that his form was quite bad. I mean, he was dropped a few times on some of the hills on stage 3.

Iirc Allen Lim said a good first year after weight loss then a bad second year was the pattern he would expect - then things stabilise in third year

If that being dropped thing is true then 'enigma' sounds about right :)

Edit the only thing I can see on the official ticker says Sky are all working for Thomas...

It's not surprising, wiggans is still 1 of the to tt, with canc saying he's out of form its not a total surprise, wiggans is the 2nd best timetrialist in the race so if canc was of the pace the wiggans would beat him? The gap was more a surprise but I would imagine that's more due to everyone else being sup par as opposed to an extraterrestrial performance by wigwam.
