Thieu rewarded for having big b*lls. Close in the end, very exciting race to watch.
Kudos to the Danes for trying, but they lost it with 75 km to go.
Naesen with a promising result as well.

Those only watching the Giro today are in the wrong.

I know they had every right to, but why - oh why - did Naesen and Colbrelli have to sprint for second and third? They had nothing to gain by getting bonus seconds...
Prize money, UCI points etc. It's always better to fnish 2nd than 4th.

LOL at Naesen for losing it by 2 seconds considering his behaviour in the chase group.

After Naesens comments in the Tour there was no chance he was going to work with SKA.

I don't think that had anyhting to do with this. Tactically it was just the right thing to do. Letting the GC-guys ride and try to win the stage at the end.

Told you those Danes better watch vdp instead of each other. Now it bites them in the ass. Race lost

Do we know they were watching each other? Looked like Mads just exploded, and Søren just got outsprinted on the line, though I have no idea about the times. However, I'm pretty sure Naesen isn't actually up to second in GC - as PCS claims - since he was almost 10 minutes down after yesterday.

There was nothing Mads or SKA could do today. Van der Poel is just a special rider. Chapeau for yet another masterclass.

SKA needed to finish 2nd on less than 3s, so I doubt he would have won the GC if Naesen and Colbrelli didn't sprint either.

How so did he want to do a Kragh?
Work a bit, but let the others do more, then win.
He knew Kragh and Küng were going for GC, so it made sense to make them empty themselves.

I think Kragh made a tactical mistake, to be honest. He should've save a little bit before the last hill there (with 5-6 km to go), and accelarate there. The others were of no use anymore those last 5 km.

It would be the right thing to do if not for the fact that it was very apparent all the way that the chase group would have to give it all to get Van der Poel before the finish line.

And what particular race are you referring to here?

That's possibly true. I lost track on everything. I am, however, still pretty sure that Naesen did not overtake Kragh by almost 10 minutes.
