He wont win one of the Rabo two-headed monster will.

So far at least Purito Alberto and Froome look better than them.

I think it will be:

Alberto
Froome +1'30"
Purito +2'50"
Gesink +3'30"
Mollema +4'30"

Of course there are still a lot of things that can happen like crashes bonking etc.

He will win 5 stages: 8 (Andorra), 11 (ITT), 14 (Puerto de Ancares), 16 (Cuitu Negru), 20 (Bola del Mundo).

No way will he beat froome in the TT.
He will have the advantage of starting last, have had 10 stages to ride into form, and not ridden the Tour (unlike Froome).

Ever seen three week consistency by Purito? And 40 km TT to go. And Valverde is definitely going to play a role.

Purito looked kind off weak yesterday though, and Arrate is a climb tailor made for Purito. One of Gesink or Mollema should be able to make the podium.

There is a chance if Froome cracks in the third week because of fatigue because of the TDF that Gesink or Mollema (or both) could pass Froome. Although normally Froome should beat them.

Alberto will definitely win though, under normal circumstances.

It's a 40 k semi-mountain TT. It's been put there deliberately to limit Purito's and Valverde's losses (and Anton's, but well, you know).

Also, I've seen Purito be consistent over three weeks not too long ago. I think it was in May...

It's not like Gesink and Mollema looked any better. Quite the opposite, actually.

Why not? Alberto has had some great TT results.

So has Froome though, and its been a while since Contador has shown alot in a TT. Froome since last years Vuelta has been very consistent and strong in the TT

Last year, Contador got 3d in the closing TT of the Tour, and 2nd in the Giro, where he had already started his celebrations before crossing the line.

Well both always look crappy whe climbing.
Gesink was riding in the front of the group all the time though, seemd to bedoing fine. Mollema was more anonymous in the middle of the group, he still sprinted both on Arrate and yesterday I think, but yeah, I didn't really see him much.

Why do you think they looked weak?

Even with Gesink's style you can see if he's going well or not. I didn't think he looked particularly great (and afterwards he also admitted that he didn't have a good day).

Yes but it has been over a year since then, will he be just as good now as he was then? Or as good as Froome? I think he is capable of pulling out a good performance in the TT but I would rank Froome as the better TTer of the 2.

Doesn't look like consistent to me.

He was strong at Daupine and TDF and Olympics, when he peaked, but will he be able to maintain his peak in the Vuelta?

Not saying he won't, but if Froome starts fatiguing, which would be logical, Contador might beat him, not just on the MTF's, but also in the TT.

I think he (Purito) did a great job in this year's Giro.
