Maybe it's just me but doesn't it seem disingenuous and, even more so, disrespectful to his rivals that he so often falls back on excuses as to why he's done badly/lost time etc...?

Other riders seem to get on with it, maybe say they the weren't good enough or just keep things to themselves. Evans though always seems to want us to think it wasn't his fault... Makes me think he's a coward to be honest.

I suppose he could have used to good ol' bike toss for distance instead.

You did say you "disagreed" with Menchov in the list, but that is ridiculous. Menchove won the Giro and multiple Vueltas. He was repeatedly able to close the deal. Evans, not so much.

I guess he means getting sick (2010 Giro and 2012 Tour) or breaking his arm but still finishing (2010 Tour). Sometimes I wonder if people on here have ever raced a bike. Frankly name all the riders with a better Palmeres than Evans since he's been around - other than Contador nobody.

Yes GTs. Weighting the Tour higher for obvious reasons and counting his WT as well as it was raced on a course not suited to sprinters.

I was not debating doping, I was merely separating riders based on if they had been sanctioned or not.

I know Evans had a bad TT, but you don't know that this is the case, apparently today he had a mechanical which didn't help him, although he may still have lost out to Uran.

You know what the problem was with his bike? All I can find is rather vague and I did not notice anything in particular during the stage.

I have read, that Cadel has amazing test values, such as VO2 Max. I don't have the source right now, but I know this is no secret on these boards. If this would turn out to be false, I will have to reevaluate my stance on him, but as of now, I believe his is very talented.
