I was thinking the same. And about Gesink: Yes, he struggled this year, both mentally and physically. He did a great pre-season, but his pre-tour campaign wasn't good either. Yes, he did a decent stage at the end of the Dauphine, but it wasn't as good as I expected. I think he could use a sports psychologist and if he uses one, a more intensive support.
But this is a Mollema-thread. I give him about 33% chance of being impressive on the Angliru (being in front, not losing time), 33% chance of loosing some time and 33% chance of losing too much time. If he's within those first 66%, he's done a good job.
