Has anyone seen a recent photo of Betancur (from the last day or two)? Surely he must've lost some weight by now, just from riding these 16 stages in the heat, etc. I'm curious to see if there's a visible difference, or how much he would've been able to drop.

The most recent I can find, from the time trial:

Thanks for the pics shalgo. I was hoping he'd be looking a bit better than that by now. Still has a ways to go from when those were taken.

Jeez. How is this guy even a pro? Maybe his team can get him some spanx so he at least looks like an elite rider and not a bon-bon killing housewife.

The belly has gone. Because of his size and muscular legs he always looks a bit fat, also when in top shape.

this. he looks very near how he looked during paris nice which he won. his form is less of course

Whatever you want. Those are just pictures though, better is to look at some videos. No way his a** and body shape comes even remotely close to the one right now.

no not at all. when he was in san luis he was far more overweight then when he started this vuelta(pics have been posted that are clear as daylight). you easily lose 2-3 kg in one week. let's say he was 10 kg overweight at start of vuelta which is doubtful he would've dropped 5 kg at the least, being near his 5 kg overweight which he also was at p-n. that video doesn;'t look to me at all thinner then he is currently now in the vuelta.

you say he is only 5kg overweight now?

you people have no idea what overwieght is. you know what betancurts weight is 62 kg and 60 kg towards the end of a gt. a tiny weight in reality. to be 62 kg or 72 kg is a massive difference. you honeslty think he was 77 or 78 kg ever?!

I guess we see completely different things then.

No, and no one said that either.

clearly Ilovecycling said that. saying betancurt is still 10 kg overweight, after being in a gt for more than 2 weeks

I too believe he's close to being 10kg overweight. I just don't think he lost more than 5kg in 2 weeks, so I'd say he was around 74kg before the Vuelta.

Yes I think so ryo, and his ideal weight is not 62-60-but more like 59-57,but I dont think he ever had it.
I think he is around 69 kg now.

if you honeslty think ANY rider just loses 2 kg in 2 weeks of a gt you don't know what you are talking about. even guys like froome easily drop 3-4 kg over an entire gt despite being thin as a stick to start with.
