The guy keeps postponing everything... before we know it, its August and he and Movistar decided to try to prepare for the 2017-season by racing those 5-10 extra pounds off in the Vuelta. Just got nostalgic for a while when I saw him on the Mur in 2013, but I think its a little too late by now to have any kinds of expectations for the Ardennes if those are gonna be his first race. HOPEFULLY he will do decently and have the Giro in mind, but I doubt that Betancur can turn up in the Giro with 3 race days and do something. He needed what... 30 in 2015 to be half decent half way through on a couple of stages?
I dont know if it has been mentioned, but I read somewhere that Nairo and Dayer wanted him to move to Spain with his family, I think that was what originally was thought out by Movistar signing him, the fact that they already had 3 Columbians, but I dno what to make out of this situation as it is right now..
