He will travel to Europe on Saturday and will actually race for the first time this season in Milano SanRemo.

Not good for morale to start the season with a DNF.

he posted a photo while leaving from the airport .
good news , he is really coming in europe
bad news , he does not look very thin

Well, that's a provisional startlist.

Maybe Movistar send that list before the decision of including Betancur.

Rojas and Lobato both DNF Paris-Nice because of injury and they are on that list, I don't know if they will run.

I'm not worried anymore as i saw he sneaked a picture of his bike alongside with his usually family pics :D
Anyway the weather is horrible at his location, which might be Pamplona if i get it right.

Together with the two Spaniards and fellow countryman Fran Ventoso will be Costa Rica's Andrey Amador, Italian Giovanni Visconti and three of the four Colombians -Nairo Quintana will be at the Volta a Catalunya from Monday- within the ranks of the Blue team. Dayer Quintana, Winner Anacona -first race with his European team-mates in 2016- and Carlos Betancur, who will make his debut in Movistar colours after moving to Pamplona few days ago, complete the eight-man group.

Good news, if true.

Nothing better to start your season than a 300 kms one day race. I dont think he will finish the race.
It'll be good for him to put in some effort, be it for himself, be it for the team. I'm just assuming he's going to start in País Vasco, and then he'll actually have somewhat of a decent build up and form going into to classics.

This guy could be IMO next Valverde. Even being overweighted he had one of the best accelerations in peloton and could fight in Giro toe to toe with pure climbers - beating Majka to the white jersey and Niemiec, Pozzovivo in the process. Sadly he's now known as Michellin Guy. Maybe he could call them and employ for a Michellin mascot job. Salary is propably quite good so he could then be at least financialy secure without tackling this devilish and unhuman thing known as diet.
