tour de france 2005, contador lost 1:03:25 for lance...

See, I ask myself, is it drugs?

you are flying to close to the light
you should return to the clen sanctuary

No, we should all return to reality.

Can't argue with that and certainly not in the PRR forum..

Then no argument. It's all so confusing. In fact we just sail on.

Contador hadn't lost that much time, like Froome in this Volta, in his entire career I think, considering stage races

Not after he had won the Tour, never. He was 24 then.

Why is Sky racing Froome as clearly something is not right? Riding in the grupetto takes us all back to 2011....

Maybe they actually are trying to peak in the third week of July, and have eased off his training after Ruta Del Sol, and his illness.

Which would be a very wise thing to do, ihmo. It really seems that Froome is very "fragile". I suppose they can't push him too hard for too long and too often. High levels of prolonged effort can weaken the immune system. And he seems to have been experiencing the consequences of that far too many times.... or maybe he is just unlucky.

Froome lost 36'46 on the queen stag, another 8'40 on stage 5 and 3+ min to the GC leaders yesterday. Not even knowing he was sick a few days before TA could have led people to expect this kind of serious loss of form.

it's called riding to train
do not worry, when the heat comes in july he will be doing 150rpm's leaving the dust behind

also, he has so few race days so this is good for him. also not over raced or tired in july. flying

Disagree. He needs to race. He's struggling in the peloton. He's been at the back a lot. That is not good.
He will need more race miles before the tour or his season will go out the window.

He will surely do Romandie and Dauphine, wonder if he will add another race to his schedule.

I don't like "chaos theory limbs" but I really want to have a season where we get to see all the best race in top form.
So far Its just not really worked out that well, only Quintana "tinymanofpower" looks good and Valverde.

This will be the Tour if only Contador had decided not do the Giro. Nibali, Froome and Quintana are obviously working towards a monster peak at the Tour. Only Contador's preparation for the Tour is less than ideal.

It is called NIbali winning Tour style training.

Yes, not having won the Tour before, Froome would clearly need to copy Nibali's 2014 strategy and deviate from his 2013 training regime. Wait, who won the Tour again in 2013?

I doubt anyone else would call Froome's performance in Catalunya ideal for his season prep for the Tour if you look at his previous seasons.

That's it, throw your mentor under the bus for your riding style.

hmm, i don't think that
he has an unique style, trademark, you can spot him from helicopter
i think he is very proud of his style and won't change it for anything

Look at those chaos theory limbs, never mind spotting him from a helicopter,,,, I reckon you could spot him from the international space station.
Awful looking bike rider,,,the UCI should ban him for riding the way he does :D

Look at the guy behind him in the photo, though. Unable to come past despite having wheel sucked the entire time.

His unique elbows out praying mantis style is clearly worth 40 watts.
