So much for the "anti-Froome" TdF route. Can't see any difference on PdB Thursday. Froome just needs to practice on keeping rubber side down.

I think Froome might be just doing last km sprints from now one. Until Alpe, where he will put down the hammer again to take that iconic stage win in the yellow jersey with no one else close.

THANK YOU, Chris Froome!
Now that I won't be wasting 4+hr/da watching the remaining 11 stages of the TdF I have gained the full-time equivalent of a week-long July vacation! ...And I'm on my way to the beach. Ciao!

Absolutely insane. Obviously the best climber in the world, and the best in many years. Who has ever annihilated a quality field like that before?

Lance..ha ha

So, we can reject the opinion that he was struggling during Valverde's attack?
What a bluff.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about ...Bertie is way off and tired , he knew it would be a risk going for the double and his form this year has not been consistent. Nibs though has been a disaster and once again failed to step up against top competition. Most disappointing has to be Quintana. awful and a big big disappointment.
Its just 2013 again nothing more nothing less. Perspective and rational not hypo boil nonsense.

Froome only looks as good as his competition make him look. Like anyone who is winning.
I think some perspective and rational thinking rather than over the top statements that look stupid when you look at his performances last year and this against riders in decent form.

Its a shame for the race as but that's the way it goes. Only a inform Bertie has what it takes to beat Froome and that's not going to happen this year or next if he can't get back into top shape. its a ?

Thats what I find disappointing is that we may never get to see them go mano v mano in the tour in great shape.

it's not the end of the world or the greatest day of your life its just a bike race. Froome fans enjoy.

My elder son Stan, [12 years old] was named pupil of the year in his school today ,,Im happy.

What a bluff.

The SKY train did wobble a little bit trying to reel in Valverde. At one point Froome was half a bike length behind Porte and seemed to zigzag a bit.

A crisis or the gear searching?

Quintana may still take some time in the Alps, but the gap will be too big.
Nibali and Contador, who could try crazy things, are too far down and not in good enough shape to worry Froome

Froome was spectacular today, but some usually good climbers underperformed. When you consider that he beat Gesink with 1.33, Rolland with 2.04 and Gallopin with 2.24 on a 15k climb with average over 7%, his performance doesn't strike me as so extreme, but sure it was still very very good.

The latter most likely. But that is answering in retrospect. At the time it looked like the Movistar duo might be able to do something.
I'v been hoping for a moment, have to admit.
