Maybe it's not just coincidence but the last 3 Tour winners and current yellow jersey all took part in the previous years Vuelta.

Good point.

I don't think Sky will let him if he's gonna win Le Tour, they might try with Henao.

NB: The bid ask spread for everyone but Chris and Nairo is very large meaning those odds really mean nothing other than "close to 0 chance". Whilst that is the case I just carry forward the previous odds. In the unlikely event one of them regains a decent chance to win the Tour, I'll of course take note.

Remember Armstrong talking into his radio after he drops every one.
BPM is not a telling factor in being clean. induran has a heart beat of around 27/28 beats a minute... his lactate threshold was around 159 bpm ....

This discussion obviously belongs in the clinic guys.
Why?

Nothing I've read in the last page have been about doping.

Ah, ok. I have him on ignore...

Does that mean you don't see any posts quoting him?
I have to use my manual filter for that :D

But you are correct, after I checked again, I can see the very first post on this page is clinic-material.

Is Froome seriously planning on ruining the Vuelta too?

Won't have such a strong team there.
It still will be awesome to see him racing the Vuelta 1km walls against top shape Purito and Valverde :D

Would be great if he could do the double this year. Would cement his position as the strongest GT rider since his emergence.

No, that'd be great! Even you might like it, he's unlikely to be as dominant as here, just look at 2012. Anyway, I've heard rumours he's going all year already.

Froome the big loser today. Now almost a full percent less likely to win the Tour. Quintana slowly but surely gaining ground.

In the real world Froome was the biggest winner today. One day closer to Paris and a 2nd Tour win.

However he was worse than predicted.

Predicted by who? Predictions I heard said if the weather was foul he wouldn't do as good. It's all in who you listen to I guess.

The BBC mentions it at last:

Chris Froome: Why doesn't Britain love the Tour de France leader?

Froome, on the other hand, is cycling's great late bloomer, and in that regard he is similar to Armstrong's development as a Tour specialist from 1999 onwards.

He said after the stage he had a dig to test the others, but because of the conditions (headwind) he saw no point in continuing so just rode conservatively for the rest of the stage.

To be honest if Porte and G continue this form and reel in every attack from his rivals then he is in a perfect position. Another big tick from Froome today as attacks on the final climb aren't going to lose him the yellow jersey. They need to do something very special from long range to gain back 3-4 minutes that they need.
