That guy should be punished or in an Phiquiiatric Hospital.

I wouldnt have the same opinion with Santambroglio, Reda or other guys that try to cheat in this era.

Froome is a good guy and he deserve the best forr him in his life. If one day, despite he has always been very opositte to doping and asking for more controls, someone proof he doped and he is alive, i would like he has the same nightmare or worse that Lance has now.

(if this opinion is not allowed for the forum rules just delete it, but it is my opinion and I think that is not offensive and it has sense)

Wow. What a sad spineless coward Jalabert is.

Exactly, he is entitled to view his opinions of Froome as a pundit (whether he deserves to be a pundit wih his history is questionable) however at least have the balls to back up what you said when confronted about it. Says it all for his integrity the two-faced snake.

I am sure Froome can smell the difference, even if it was Heineken, people looking for conspiracys when they aren't there: some amoeba escaped his asylum to throw piss on someone, that's it.

Agreed having spilt many beers on myself (after drinking several) I have never once thought this smells like piss.

If I was Sky, I would be asking the Belgian journalist which fans he spoke to so they can confront them

Jalabert can't back up his statements because if he did he'd open himself up to being sued.

He's already been recorded by the media as saying those things so from that point of view it does not matter if he repeats himself or not.

You can sue someone for saying their performance is "on another planet"? That's interesting..

.@JalabertLaurent if you’re going to deny making statements about me maybe you should remember that you’re being recorded on Live TV/Radio

His performance is not to other plantet, there is people in this planet that can achive better performance, potentially. He his getting thye best of himself, but in the future will be riders with best level.

If a jounalist is serious, he must give arguments in what he say, not just think in his era an take conclusions.

Froome maybe is wrong when he says everybody knows that everything changed and now the peloton is clean, I know and everybody inside cycling know that, but even in this forum I was banned some days to say that obvious thing for people inside cycling, so, they must realized people dont see things as they think.

it is a pity, but is like that. Maybe teams must do more effort to show how thinks work in cycling now, but I am not sure if some teams, an I dont mean SKY want to talk about the present becouse imply talk about past.

No, you can't.

How would other cyclists know what had been thrown? They'd see the colour of the liquid but not much else..

Only person that can really have any credibility in knowing would be the person that threw the liquid and the rider that got hit by it.

I am assuming that, if the story is true, Sky hired an angry Frenchman and planted him at the side of the road. I dont see any other way they could get that much information while cruising by at 40-60km/h.

Maybe Froome stopped for a coversation:
"Hey there, where are you from...oh, France! Beautiful place you got here....what you got in your cup...oh piss! Well what in the hell are you doing with that?....OH GOOD GOD JESUS MATE???.....ah, yes, i see yer point, those guys on the internet have me quite mad as well!"

I saw some openings in the SKY train today.. I guess everybody did.

G. Thomas was equally strong with the other top5 guys before, seems to have lost a little bit. Poehls as usual, but Porte is apparently sick like he always get.

If Quintana, Contador etc are serious about challenging Froome, they need to go from far out, and make Froome chase them down between mountains.

Will Valverde make the sacrifise to give Quintana a shot? I guess not. Froome got allies in TJ and Gesink (who both are the only ones satisfied with their positions).

I think Froome will loose time in the Alps, because of G. Thomas and Porte doesn't seem to be 100 % anymore, but they need to simply crack him big time if they want to win.

Well, taking down his domestiques in a kimikaze-like attack seems to be quite an effective tactic.
Really hoping that Thomas is ok and it wasn't just adrenaline that kept him going.
Insane ride by him to get back on the bike after that and make up time on the contenders

Froome is looking really strong. The others need to come up with something special to displace him.Sky might be a bit weak at the moment with G.scary crash,Kennaugh going home but i don't see his rival teams better either.

There were a lot of tired bodies and minds out there today. Yes there were slight chinks in the Sky armour. That could be said of the rest of the GC contender teams. Thomas is critical to Froome's success, the full extent of the damage done on G's physical state will only come after extreme pressure is exerted on him. Porte looks like he is fading but you don't know if that is semantics or actual performance decline. Poels looks ok in fairness but today's gradients will not be comparable to the ones ahead.

Don't think Froome will lose that much time if he controls the race or just keeps Quintana (his only realistic threat) within reasonable limits.

Sigh

What a coward.

In Spain we call that: "Tiras la piedra y escondes la mano" You throw the stone and hide the hand.

Meanwhile Froome doing history, not that kind of false history we saw in cycling for 20 years, in wich Jalabert take part.

Jalabert is a prize hypocrite. Who will be the next critic, Armstrong ? Good day for Froome although Barguil almost ruined it for a few riders. I thought Contador would attack on the descent but no surprise Nibali did. The last week looks very hard, wrong time to lose Kennaugh but Sky so far have looked in control. Porte must be sick of getting punctures.
