What Froome did to Aru is part of the sport and these things are just aren't punished, intentional or not.

I bet most Brits defending Froome right now were arguing in the exact opposite direction 2 weeks ago against Vettel, when he piled Hamilton. Now, suddenly they buy Froomes typical anglo pr-***, because he "accidentally unclipped". Yeah, of course. You're unmasked. It's laughable!
This was absolutely on intention to nurture Aru. With success as we saw later on.
Like I said, Casagrande got excluded for something similar. Just that Aru didn't crash like the Colombian back then. It's a disqualification. Pretty clearly, actually. I'd be okay with a time penalty as well. But the reference simply has to be the Casagrande case.
That Sagan was excluded from the Tour was kinda harsh and somehow unjustified. That Froome stays in is a complete joke IMHO!

Disappointing to see Froome (plus Porte) react to Aru; personally I think if something happens on the final climb then all bets are off. You shouldn't expect people to wait at that stage whatever happens; the race is on and a stage win is potentially on the line. It's ridiculous to try to intimdate someone for having the temerity to attack.
Still, what Froome did are the actions of a bully - kind of like Armstrong - but nowhere near enough to merit an official sanction, let alone a DQ.
