That doesn't mean his apologies were sincere. I think Aru claimed he didn't see Froome when he attacked and we all know that's BS.

Yea but it also doesn't mean they weren't ...

Froome will win his fourth MJ. His team was so strong. It's hard to unseat him and with ITT, he is safe for now. (barring any mishaps)

He ran away from the press conference because journos asked him about the incident

Please can you just stop trolling or at the very least posting in this thread.

I bet most Brits defending Froome right now were arguing in the exact opposite direction 2 weeks ago against Vettel, when he piled Hamilton. Now, suddenly they buy Froomes typical anglo pr-***, because he "accidentally unclipped". Yeah, of course. You're unmasked. It's laughable!

This was absolutely on intention to nurture Aru. With success as we saw later on.

Like I said, Casagrande got excluded for something similar. Just that Aru didn't crash like the Colombian back then. It's a disqualification. Pretty clearly, actually. I'd be okay with a time penalty as well. But the reference simply has to be the Casagrande case.

That Sagan was excluded from the Tour was kinda harsh and somehow unjustified. That Froome stays in is a complete joke IMHO!

Funniest part of the argumentation was calling me a Contador fan.

1) What does nationality have to do with anything?

2) What does F1 have to do with Cycling?

3) Why do you insist on repeating yourself like a broken record?

I have no clue who you support, but never in a million years is this a DQ, never. Not even in a kids' race.
It's not a race accident either. It should be fined in some way If Aru crashes we've a whole other discussion. I might be a bit over emotional calling out for a disqualification. Okay, true. But it's definitely not nothing!

And I've seen soccer players suggesting they actually hit the ball multiple times after a tackle against their opponent.

Disappointing to see Froome (plus Porte) react to Aru; personally I think if something happens on the final climb then all bets are off. You shouldn't expect people to wait at that stage whatever happens; the race is on and a stage win is potentially on the line. It's ridiculous to try to intimdate someone for having the temerity to attack.

Still, what Froome did are the actions of a bully - kind of like Armstrong - but nowhere near enough to merit an official sanction, let alone a DQ.
