I think his Israel team mate Simon Clarke is competing and as he has a better finish, will probably work for him.
It is not a WT-level race so Froome may be able to hang on to the finish.

It's a long race at 267 kms and can be challenging if they ride into a headwind.

Today he rode alone 197 km.
The race is quite flat, but not totallay, and with that distance looks to me at San Remo.
Organicers expect between 6 and 8 hours, I think they means the winner...with headwind a no profesional should take very long time... Anyway, I am not sure with kind of race is this....if they race as a team, alone, is a real race, ....??
Clarke?? he shoul be the clear favourite.

Well, I mean, he was sitting in the peloton 11 minutes behind the lead group, only to attack and make up 6-ish minutes together with his archenemy Ben Hill, it ain't as bad as it looks.

I say it with a wink. A few years back Froome was leading a lot of classifications in the Sun Tour, including points. Ben Hill was desperate to join the break to win the latter, but Froome personally made sure he didn’t get as much as a finger of distance.

The race finished. The break got it. Froome was 12 th. He tried a coubter attack as you puta veré. I Saw a highlights video and he was in the firsts positions of the pelotón most of the race. At the begining, with lot of clothes, It was quite cold at the start and headwind, so a Big training for Froome.

Froome doesn't just ride on for himself no its something much greater. He rides for Horner, Schleck, and all the riders who emotionally upset this forum.

Nowadays, I honestly fear the day Chris retires. I wish he‘ll remain a pro for the next five or ten years…
He‘s just entertaining, these days. And in a good way. Somehow, he seems to be back to his old days, still at Barloworld.
What he‘s been through, already. The worm stories. His Salzburg crash. His domestique duties for Henderson. Battling amateurs in non-UCI races. Winning 4 TdF GCs, in between.
This guy is so much more than an average pro cyclist. And the number of people who dislike him probably decreases day by day…

He has a contract until 2026, and there's just not a chance he'd walk away from 5 million plus a season. With Israel getting invites to most important races, he'll be around.
