I hope for a race with some early attacks: although the route looks like it could come down to a big showdown on the last climb, this race can have a surprising result as we saw last year because the condition and/or motivation of most of the riders is quite uncertain. If the Tour can give us a hint at the racing tomorrow, something‘s gonna happen on the penultimate climb.
Could also be that the guys who’ve done the Tour are tired though and we get a calm race.

In a way I hope Remco doesn’t put on a big show today as it make me fear he is flying and going too well too soon only to fade halfway through the Vuelta.

We all know he needs to attack on the Erlaitz this year... and if he succeeds he will need to attack on the Jaizkibel the next time.

And the next time after that he'll attack on Alkiza.
The next time after that he'll attack on Urraki.
The next time after that he'll attack on Azkarate.
The next time after that he'll attack from K-0.

It will be interesting to see how well did he recover after 3 weeks of racing. I guess he wants to win this one.

It feels so insane to me that Evenepoel won this race half a year before covid became a thing. How on earth is he around for so long already.
He was so young back then he was not allowed on the podium without adult supervision

Thank you guys for the tv coverage information. It’s strange but can’t see it announced in the GCN app and sadly no tv live coverage from any of the 2 Eurosport Portugal Channels.

Just saw Powless doesn’t start today. He stated before the tour he planned to defend his win from last year. Did he fall ill after the tour? Or just exhaustion?
