No, because coming from behind is never the best option in a sprint...

When Remco decided to pull inside the final kilometre, Bilbao should have stayed in his wheel. I'm not saying he would have won for sure, but his chance would have been a lot higher. Especially since they started sprinting so late.

isn’t it a bigger advantage to be behind if you start the sprint early and better with a short sprint if you are in front (given you start the acceleration at the same time) ?
