My best friend from childhood now lives in Fort Collins.
So I'm obligated to root for State in that match up.

Doubters might have to drop the 'Arch Manning is living on his name' shtick. Its a very small sample, but impressive highlights (granted against UTSA).

Manning may get his first start after all, Texas is listing Ewers week to week & likely out vs U-LM.

The nightmare at Florida St continues: 0-3 start after a preseason top -10 ranking! And they have one of the top QBs in DJ Uiagalelei - acquired from the transfer portal after stints at Clemson & Oregon St. Uiagalelei was the #1 HS QB recruit from the class of 2020.

That's a terrible loss. Vandy is unranked & had lost to non-Power 5 Georgia St earlier in the season. This doesn't bode well at all for DeBoer. Alabama won't tolerate losses like this under any circumstances. I can hear the calls for Saban to come back. Lol

W with a BIG W against M!
Looks like isthmus came early in Madison, Wisconsin.

oops, I thought W meant Wisconsin, not Washington. However, the Badgers did win so I am not completely humiliated.

Ashton Jeanty (BSU) has 1,031 yards in five games so far this season! BSU didn't play him in the second half of two games to save his legs for the rest of the season.

#1 Texas destroyed Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. Ewers back from injury performed well enough probably keeping Manning on the sidelines for the time being. Huge matchup next Sat vs Georgia.

and not sure Washington would want DeBoer back.

Probably not. Lol. What do you think of the Huskies so far playing in the Big-10? I see they're 2-2 in conference play having gotten hammered last week by Iowa but beating Michigan a couple weeks earlier, who was ranked #10 at that time (the 2nd half of their schedule gets pretty tough with games against #16 Indiana, #3 Penn St & #2 Oregon.

The Huskies new QB, Rodgers, is playing very well as a first time player with the program (transfer from Miss St where he was a starter).

New head coach, new QB, new conference - it'll be interesting to see how this all turns out.

Also a Bellichick as D coach. Soooo many penalties and missed FG got them where they are, record-wise. Hallmarks of everything being new. Talent there but not all going in the same direction. The QB is also in his last year.
Meanwhile the Ducks out thought Michigan.
That feels fun to say.

Bama loses their second game of the year having lost multiple regular season games only 3 times since 2008, with this being the earliest in the season they've lost multiple games in the last 20 yrs. One more loss & they're likely out of playoff contention - even with this new format. Wouldn't want to be in Tuscaloosa as the faithful are going to start screaming for Saban to come back. Lol

#5 Georgia manhandles #1 Texas in a lopsided game. Let's see if Georgia moves into the #1 or #2 slot.

#16 Ole Miss dominates #2 Georgia with an upset win putting them in the playoff hunt! Jaxson Dart with 200 yds passing & 50 yds rushing all on an injured ankle. This guy is the real deal: Top 3 QB projected draft ranking in the high 1st rd. He's got the size, arm strength, agility & toughness to be good at the next level.

CU with a big win against Texas Tech. Sanders had a great day accounting for 4 scores (3 passing/1 rushing). CU is now 2nd in the Big-12 standings behind undefeated BYU firmly in the hunt to play in the conference championship game.

As much I love that there is a 12 team playoff system, I'm still furious that it took until 2024 to make this happen.

Will there be "December Madness" like March Madness?
March Madness has the entire country talking about their brackets, filling out the office pool etc.
Will every office in America have a ncaa football bracket pool?

Ashton Jeanty (BSU)

So far in 9 games (he only played in the second half of four games.):

1,734 yards rushing, 23 TDs, 7.7 yards average per carry

93 yards receiving, 1 TD

0 fumbles

3 more games, 200+ yards per game...is Barry's record attainable? BSU will likely have a MW champs game, and a bowl game, hopefully in the playoff, but I don't think that Barry's record includes post season games.

Not playing him in the second half when they didn't need to was smart for the season, and for his future even if it hindered his chances for Barry's record.

Great post! We'll see if Indiana is the real deal - they play at Ohio St in the biggest game in Indiana football history. Georgia plays Tennessee with a chance to get back in playoff picture. A loss & I think they're eliminated. Boise St plays San Jose St. All Boise St has to do is win out & they'll be hands down the highest ranked conference champion of the Group of 5 securing an automatic playoff berth.

The top 25 match ups today look like a bunch of yawners, with Tennessee at Georgia the only one worth watching.

Florida upsets #22 LSU at the Swamp sending the Tigers home devastated & out of playoff contention!

CU smokes Utah moving another step closer to the Big-12 championship game. Sanders just another day at the office throwing for 340 & 3 scores.

Georgia regains playoff hopes with a dominating win over #7 Tennessee. The Volunteers may be in trouble - we'll see how they far drop in the CFP rankings.

Boise St takes care of business in a solid win over San Jose St. as they continue to hold on to the top spot in the Group of 5.

Looking a the schools that make up the Group of 5, will anyone outside of the Mountain West ever get the spot?
