Or for that matter, water out of a plastic bidon?

But if they can do it, this would seem like a very good way to catch some of the doping methods that were previously pretty hard to detect.

That would be doubtful. Plastic bidons likely contain different types of plastics (LDPE) than softer, more malleable plastic blood bags.

What the ****?

Contador just said on TV a second ago that the UCI confirmed it is because of food contemination in a press conference. Bad translation or something(subtitles)?

The check must have cleared!

Oh, really? Where in the world did WADA say they tested for clenbuterol retroactively? And where did WADA say they kept extra samples?

And you call your self intelligent.

I'm still waiting for your evidence that WADA tested for clenbuterol retroactively.

Were still waiting for your evidence that they did not test the other samples for Clen.

There are the B samples. Contador's lawyers may have spent the last month having any samples that were not test for Clen tested.

I would bet clenbuterol is part of the standard WADA screen done on pretty much all samples

5.2.4.2 Urine screen testing
5.2.4.2.1 The Screening Procedure(s) shall detect the Prohibited
Substance(s) or Metabolite(s) of Prohibited Substance(s), or
Marker(s) of the Use of a Prohibited Substance or Method for all
substances listed in the Out-of-Competition or In-competition
Section of the Prohibited List as appropriate for which there is a
WADA-accepted screening method.

Remember, it's almost impossible to take that small amount, or get any benefit from it. So the only reasonable way it got into his system is part of another mix. Such as a re-infusion of blood, which had very small amounts in it from previous use when extracted.

Hilarious effort to dismiss Conti's positive tests. Why not decide to support clean racing and get behind a big 2 year suspension for Alberto? This could do a lot to clean up the sport of cycling.

No, it's just the way real life works.

And if you could read then you would've known he wasn't even defending Contador.

Haha, De Boer. The dude *****s himself out to the highest paying doper and will claim whatever you want him to claim. Completely worthless to have him on your side. Actually, you look even more guilty.

blood-bags, and this one day before the positive blood sample. ANd these
blood-bag plastisisers endorse the conclusion that homologous blood
doping might be going on. The UCI completely held this "under the blanket", din´t
say a thing about it yesterday [when they contacted the UCI]. This too
raises the question about the credibility of die federation.

Does "blood transfusion" qualify as "more serious"?
So this means that I am not crazy. Along with another posters who said the same thing.

Is it possible that he was using an inhaler or the medicine while training when the blood was drawn from his body to be used during the Tour a month or so later. Then he put this blood back into the body on rest day (As usual for all top contenders) and he got busted. The amount is very small to be honest, so maybe that's plausible.

It must be rough times for pistooleros everywhere. Try a little clenbuterol injection - it'll make you feel more like your hero.

I'm sorry, but it's not possible to inject such a small amount in your blood.

I hope you get wrongly put in jail once to feel how stupid it is to say someone is guilty without knowing the full story yet.

He'll be guilty only after the verdict comes by a neutral "judge". You know, neutral, not you.

Unless Contador can provide the actual contaminated piece of meat (which he obviously can't), he won't be competing the coming 2 years. He quite simply can not prove his innocence.

In the Court of Public Opinion, Contador is guilty. That's all that matters.

I'm smelling a rotten LA move here, there is no way the UCI or ASO would publish quasi-positive results without some sort of motivation. As I read it, he was UNDER the min.

Who did he **** off?
