Wow, the 2010 Tour presentation has really brought out the closet psychiatrists. From debating Alberto's motives for posing for a picture, a rather strange thing to do in a room full of professional photographers by the way, to analyzing his handshake with Lance Armstrong, (you can tell by his grip and the bend of his elbow that he has a clear advantage in this year's mind games) we are really seeing some cyclo-Freudians emerging in this forum. This is a waste of time, I'm off to redtube. G'night.

thanks for telling us that:rolleyes:

I guess to some people it's impossible to comprehend that two people that are each others worst rivals on the bike can still act polite to each other when off the bike. They might even respect each other as human beings!

I kept expecting Andy to come back brandishing a chair. Andy then hits Contador with the chair across the head, Contador lands on the commentators' table and Andy reaches down and takes his yellow jersey from his blazer pocket and brandishes it to a booing crowd.

Then Lance comes into shot with a chair and takes Andy out, and takes the yellow jersey but then Frank (who has run from the dressing room), drop kicks Lance who didn't see him.

By now Contador is coming round and looks down bewildered at an unconscious Lance and picks up his yellow jersey meanwhile Frank has grabbed an unconscious Andy and is dragging him backstage. Contador's special song plays and he holds up his jersey staggering around looking groggy while the crowd cheers.

Can't you see what that video is trying to point out: it's trying to show us that Contador is gay! :D You can't be mistaken by that pat on Andy's as$!

That also explains a lot why he didn't get a long with Lance. Ever seen two gay guys fight? They never get to a fight they just try to trash each other by saying things.

Just my theory...;)

This post has single-handedly made reading this thread worthwhile. Pedalling Squares left just before it got good - though he was looking for a different kind of single-handedness of course...

He's a d-bag because the photographers called him back for another picture? If anybody is a d-bag, it's you for suggesting that crap.

For anyone THINKING about clicking on the link, it's a short video clip of Andy Schleck and AC walking off stage at the TdF presentation. About half across the stage AC stops and goes back to the poster with the 2010 route to pose for more pictures. Apparently being compliant with photographers wishes makes you a d-bag in some quarters of the world.

Well of course if it was LA, it would be a d-bag. But as it's contador, what can you say except more kudos to the saint. Remember if you don't hate LA to extreme - you're a *** fanboy. If you hate LA and love AC - you're an intelligent realist. I've learnt so much here.

Even when no one is talking about LA, you are apparently thinking about LA. That makes you a *** fanboy.

Oh boy, this one's gonna get good in a few hours when the Contador fans wake up. Right now it's just the Lance fanboys shooting off their mouths about something that didn't look like that big a deal either way, and while I dislike Contador a lot less than Lance on the weight of what they have done, I guess I don't really have a dog in this fight. So you guys go ahead and throw a few more logs on the fire while they are sleeping in Spain. Morning's not a good time for fireworks, but I'll check back to see how it's going.:D

I, too, hope he steals the thunder from the big LA vs AC rivalry and cruises into Paris in yellow.

Focus young man. You replied to one of my comments that had NOTHING to do about Lance. Perhaps you would have been better served respond to the other guys and not me. Now hurry along, I hear Lance is about to issue a new edict view twitter!

What would Contador's WWE song be then?

Maybe after the last traumatic year ...

"freedom" yeah I can see him shadow-boxing his way down the ramp to the ring between fans to that opening riff :D

Not sure what Lance and Andy's songs would be. Actually I unknowingly picked an appropriate song "Solo, I'm a soloist on a solo list" am sure LA and the hog would have agreed in July.

Yes, what's the point in assembling all the contenders when it doesn't result in a fistfight, not even a real staring contest? Cycling will never interest the american public if the riders keep behaving so civilized.

More like red rag to a bull, than latern rouge. What a load of old sheeit.

Some of us actually saw the whole presentation.
Contador and Schleck embraced eachother, upon meeting, unlike grandpa, who was firmly rooted to his seat.
It was quite clear to all who saw, that the young pair are quite good pals, off the bikes.
As for the "video". That came at the end of the photoshoot. Lance on the right, the other two podiumers to the left.

After the group shot had finished, all three began to walk off, but Contador was called back, by the photographers, for the final, solo picture.

Contador behaved impeccably, throughout.

Seems to me that a small minority of posters are already getting increasingly desperate.
A sad, nostalgic bunch of haters.

Great scenario, except for one problem. LA would never come in with a chair and take out his oppenent one-on-one. Rather, he would send in his eight hired goons to beat Andy with chains and brass knuckles, and then LA would put in a token attack after the opponent had been softened up. Lance could then grab the yellow jersey, and parade it around like he'd done it all himself.

I'd say that Rasmussen would be eating the turnbuckle, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't eat.

Maybe Contador really is a d-bag.

And is his likeness to Bert of 'Bert and Ernie' why they give him the nickname?

albertocontador_bert.jpg

WTF dude? He's putting his hand in the back of Andy to say, you go ahead before me. It's called manners. Then it looks like someone asked him to come back for another picture.

Now if LA is up there, I can understand what you're saying.

I can understand why some of you guys think Contador should be in the picture alone. Let's not get all riled up over not much about nothing. :D
