He didn't outfox them, they just let him go cause everyone is always on contador's wheel.

Froome let him go when he wanted to get as much time and bonuses as possible on Contador?

Did Contador also just let him go when was upping the speed together with Navarro to get rid of Froome just seconds before Aru escaped?

I'm not saying that he outclimbed or outclassed them, but he definitely was suprisingly close to them after a exhausting Giro effort and managed to beat them twice.

I don't know why it's ridiculous to have some faith in Aru to at least maintain that level.

Yea sure he can even get better, he should but he has no chance to win vs Contador in any race atm, unless he gets way way better. That's at least my opinion.

They are both sheduled for Catalunya along with Aru.;)

But if AC beats Froome there it will "only be because Froome is still recovering from being sick."

This reaks of opportunism a tactical ploy. Froome got the one up in Andalusia, when he was obviously further along in his preparation than he admitted and more focused on winning against Alberto as well. Perhaps, having won, the entire affair was premeditated from before. That is if Chris wins in Spain, then no TA! It's perfect when you really think about it, because until the Tour the two have separate agendas. And here, in light of the Tour, Chris probably has the better approach.

Thus now that Alberto is definitely in better shape, to deny the Spaniard his chance to settle the score, it's better to pull out and take advantage of Alberto doing the Giro to give Chris a chance to remain undefeated this year.

How devious! Sky certainly shows no respect to TA or the fans.

It was all Illuminati!

Man, your theories are mindblowing. Do you even read what you are posting? People get sick, and while they are sick they generally don't exercise.

I agree with Staubsauger. AC will need to be at his very best to be able to follow Aru this May. There is little doubt in the mind of most objective fans of cycling that Arus climbing abilities are getting closer and closer to a top form Pantanis climbing shape.

When it comes to the Froome vs AC duel, well I think think this July will give os a great battle for the 2nd place in the gc! I mean AC vs Froome vs Quintana will be awesome

Disappointing news regarding Froome's participation.
It's on Quintana and Nibali now to continue the season's trend of spectacular racing.

Yes, please don't bother anymore, because you clearly did not understand what the poster you are replying to wrote in their post. That is your problem not theirs.

How dare you try and bully me off a forum because I don't cow down to yours and others on here contention that everything is wonderful at TCS and everyone at SKY are rubbish in comparison

You are a bully and a obessive and though I like Contador I hope he fails in the Tour so you and your fanatics eat some humble pie

You are totally deluded with comments that SKY can't shake it up while TCS "a couple of riders who can shake up the peleton like Majka Kiserlovski and Rogers/Basso" can...Why is this one side blind obsession not kept over in the Contador thread and save this for reasonable discussion...
And SKy have lots of riders who can follow Majka ....Porte, KOnig, Nieve, etc
This is just more fan boy kidology ...

I really was hoping for reasonable un biased debate ....I don't know why I bother

I must be missing something. Where in the post that you're responding to does it say that Sky can't "shake it up"? You're not as unbiased as you seem to think that you are if you're so blinded that you can't comprehend what is plain to see. Take a couple of breaths and relax. That always helps me.

What a shame. I was eager to see Contador putting the score to 2-1 in a great duel.
Catalunya has a sh!tty route. A hillfinish - La Molina is not a real mountain with those 3-4 km, ideal for Kwiatkowski. And that's it. Not even a prologue. Barely any mountains.

We have to wait until the Tour.

I was so looking forward to Bertie giving Froome another beating .
After all its was only a few weeks ago that he destroyed Froome on a climb and a ITT.

Bertie on form means everyone else rides for 2nd place.

Berto will beat ET when it matters most. At the Tour. That'll be painful enough :D

Funny that it was your King riding for 2nd last time, I can almost sense your relief that Bertie might now win this race as Froome doesn't ride, as despite those losses Froome suffered he hit back with an even bigger hammer blow on the the final mountain leaving Bertie looking like a club rider peddling squares. :D

The king is dead, long live the king! :p
