I think the double act of Tim Torn and Lea Lin will always be difficult to trump, though Nienke Vinke is close.
But my current favourite is Shanyl De Schoesitter.

Would have been better if they'd given her names starting with 'T'!

And I guess being a shoesitter is significantly easier than being a babysitter. (That is what 'Schoesitter' means, right?)

If you say, no idea myself.
My Google translate from wielerflits to English becomes ' the shoesitter'.

It's one of the many variants of the surname(s) "Schoensetters/Scoensetters".

Literally it means: "shoeputters", it's an Old Dutch word for cobbler/shoemaker. So.... one of her ancestors was a medieval cobbler.

For all your etomology questions regarding Belgian surnames, do contact me. It's not like I wrote a thesis on it. :sunglasses:

I think we have had at least Julajuj before: Guatemalan brings some strange things to the Spanish language with names, presumably of Mayan origin.

A few others I spotted in the Vuelta a Guatemala results:
Gerson TOC
Eli Alejandro SISIMITH
Adonias Nelson PANJOJ
Ramon AJPACAJA
William AJCAY
Henry SAM and
Julian YAK

Yeah, there was definitely nowhere else her name could have caught your eye recently...

I'm... curious what will happen when these guys first turn up to a race, because I'm slightly worried they might have misunderstood something:

Here was me thinking Anakin was a made up name in the Star Wars universe. Apparently it's a legit Germanic name.
I wonder if George Lucas got the name "Skywalker" from David "Skywalker" Thompson.

It seems a shame that Fernando Tercero has never come third in a race, although Segundo Navarrete has a few runner up spots to his name.
I am new to this thread, and I am loving it. However, I am surprised that this guy has not been given more love and attention over the 60 pages so far.

He is not only second, but in fact he is the second coming of Christ:

NAVARRETE NAVARRETE Segundo Mesias

(And with a double surname as well just to make the name even more great).
