The last three to start will be the podium, Cancellara, Martin and Millar. Wiggins, Larsson, Grabsch and Porte biggest threats to Millar.

Cancellara for the worlds double!!!
Phinney to do well.

I wonder if a top form cancellara can still do those magic stuff in the worlds like finishing 1 minute faster than everyone.

Why isn't Contaor doing the time trial, or Evans? They are two of the best time trialists in the world, are they finished their seasons? Also my pick is Canc.

Sergent should have the best time for a while, should be a chance for a top 10 finish.

Oh dear!!!
The offical startlist has Winer Andrew ANACONA GOMEZ
Ruining such a great name!!

Poor guy is more of a passista scalatore, total waste to put him in this tt. He will join Lampre in 2012.

Mind games :p
Tony says that Cancellara won't be his biggest opponent. Names Wiggins and Millar, but doesn't rule out Cancellara at all. lol

'Cancellara zal niet mijn grootste concurrent zijn'', zo sprak de Duitser.
''Bradley Wiggins en David Millar zijn mijn grootste concurrenten''
''Ik sluit natuurlijk niet uit dat Fabian hier gewoon goed zal zijn.'
' :D

Yeah, they always do that, don't they.

Is there some kind of penalty if countries don't fulfil their quota in the TT? I can't think of any other reason why they'd put him in.

It's time for Tony to win. Fabian's motivation ain't that high (I won't be surprised if he'll be out of the podium at all) though I still rate him as the best time trialist. It's hard to guess who has the best chances apart of these two but I would try with Gustav Erik.

Would of fancied Wiggans to surprise after his Vuelta I thought he would be in good form but looks to not favour him. Will choose Canc just based on the course but its really tight between him and The Panzerwagon. Millar is also likely to do well, GB will find it a shame it isn't a tag-team timetrial they would of had a real chance at that.

This is not high enough motivation for you?
“[Bert] Grabsch and [Tony] Martin will be good,” said the 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010 champion, “but it will be difficult for them to beat me.”

Richie Porte to podium. I mean, he's proved this year that he's crap in stage races, so might as well be good in TTs, right?

Unfortunately not this time. :(
Richie hasn't really raced since Tour of Denmark. I personally do not count him (together with Larsson) as a podium contender.
Top 5 for both of them would be a great success (under these circumstances).
My bet: Richie 6th, Gustav 12th
1) Cancellara
2) Martin
3) Phinney

Dissapointing that GB pick a rider who has barely threatened the big time triallers in about three years over a rider who has already won three tt's this year including the national championships.

edit: ok, Millar won the giro tt, but come on, who was there.. really?

(although granted the same argument could be used for Alex's national championship, but personally, i think the national champion should always go to the worlds)
