in some places less than 1% of the population have been vaccinated..so natural immunity for tuberculosis,AIDS, mumps,measles,rubella,typhoid,polio..they are all probably going to work sooner or later.
it is fantastic that the human body never stops amazing us..truly fantastic, but in modern life if natural immunity can't be achieved for car accidents or cancer, logic, like in any test,do the easy stuff first and then proceed to the most difficult,time consuming,complicated..waiting for nature is cool,she will probably filter our air and water, she will probably solve the age old turtle,deer,chicken,cow and horse crossing the road wo being crushed by an 18 wheeler.
.all involved have different levels of understanding and resolve. Don't know for sure,I seldom ask dead deer if they regret crossing when they did and why. How many times are you going to link the same info. The CDC is a better source of information for the country you are highlighting. That worldometer website is not as good as going to the countries health and disease government sites. In my opinion.

You are in Houston then you should know. I don't think magic is involved at all, I do think the mask and distance mandates have little to do with the waves of cases we see.

There is a radio station in NYC, 1010 am and during the reading of the news, they have a loud teletype sound effect. Kind of symbolic of US. Covid response , immediate action was to use TV,Radio and newspapers. Any person thinking would know that will only get some of the population..hearings over the years on the urgent need for 911 system overhaul gave numbers on what it would take to overwhelm the system( sub systems) in most places. And a repeating number 9\11 was used as a worst case scenario, if a disaster of September 11th proportion happened are we ready? What will happen?
And similar questions about health care system..if we are running at red line, staffing shortages nationwide, closure of clinics and hospitals to medium sized to remote rural communities..what will a disaster response look like? Let's say 3-4 Hurricane Katrina 's at once..instead of theory, we have some hard data..
in my area the primary ambulance service is run by the Red Cross..to get community support,they have a big LED sign that displays the running total of rescues and during 2020 it was over 14,000+..year prior,9900 can't know for sure what percentage of the increase was Covid related because the data is not available to the public

This is true..this turned out to be high risk as was counter intuitive, as information has evolved so have the prevention and treatment methods.

It's weird how disease and bike racing could intersect so many times would bike racing have it's history without Amgen? What would it look like? And would Coors beer ever funded all the facets of bike racing if it's brew was restricted to a regional pleasure because of fears of processing differences..ie filtration and pasteurization..oh science..
Covid is said to advanced the study and technology of immunology by 20+ years..and for me I always knew that the menus were dirty or that the handrail and door handles at the post office and train station were filthy but I have evolved and have modified my behavior..don't know what the final verdict is on those big colored ball pits at McDonald's but I hope that they can rid those places of Covid bacteria also..

Makary has been beating that drum for a while. It was questionable when he started, and now has just become silly because he is using one initial Israeli study, but has yet to follow up with supporting data/studies (he does reference two tiny observational situations sometimes too). In fact there are other numbers out of Israel that show the opposite. If he was really being serious he would have spent time supporting his stance instead of simply repeating it. Could he be correct that natural immunity is robust? Yes, and I hope that he is. 27 times more effective...I'm waiting for his proof.

Its important to note that he got vaccinated and encourages others to do the same. Also important to note, he is a surgical oncologist.

They turn the AC off in the south in the fall? Look at the temps all across the south with the relative humidity. I can guarantee the AC is not off. I think it might have some to do with the cases but in my opinion it is more about the waves of the virus following patterns.

Its clear though Lockdowns and Mask Mandates have nothing to do with it. Additionaly travel bans are useless. They save no time as when they think they have found a new variant it was already in the country that placed a ban on travel.

The USA CDC keeps good data on deaths though. It is particularly easy to see the total deaths from years past compared to 2020 and eventually 2021

Lockdowns have PROVEN to keep health systems from getting overwhelmed in high virus areas. When health care systems get overrun it leads to MORE deaths. That is a proven FACT.

You're not giving lockdowns their fair shake. Lockdowns are great for damaging businesses, and generally lowering quality of life for all. But hey, better to live miserable than take a tiny risk of dying, right? Evidently quantity of life is the key, and not quality

4:26 in the video is profound even if you don't watch anything else. And now @2 years on..we know how very very little virus is necessary to impact those that will remain asymptomatic and those who will die days after exposure..
in many of the rebuttals there is a strange sense of fatalism..
like a huge Wheel of Fortune spinning wheel were those at low to no risk keeping spinning until it comes up the name,a life who will suffer or die and it's just part of the game..
And because of what " side" it looks like I am on..my unvaccinated aunt was buried today, leaving behind her children,grandchildren,sisters and brother and her unvaccinated husband who became seriously ill w Covid in Montana @9 -10 weeks ago..She was a very nice person, is one the only people I know to spend @$2000 dollars restoring a stove so her kitchen looked like a brand new kitchen from the 1940's.
When I lived in Sint-Niklaas Belgium she and my other Aunt sent me a multi year birthday and Christmas present in May or June, $600 check!! The Nutella( chocco) on bread for 2 sometimes 3 meals a day made her act out of pity.. pictures were expensive to develop,but my thank you card was a photo of me eating a donner kebab w French fries and curry ketchup..perhaps the most calories I ate for the 3 months before and 3 months after. She has the framed photo in her hallway. I have no explanation for why people do what they do.. And I can absolutely assure you that if intelligence is the key component for getting vaccinated,she would have had the shot.
3rd person who I actually knew who died, only one in my immediate family.

There's lots of super basic info that was clearly established early in the pandemic but that many people seem to have conveniently forgotten already. The way masks do and do not work is probably among them. Masks aren't going to do much in places where they're not common enough, because most of them are not supposed to protect the person wearing them, but everyone around the wearer (that said, they do offer some protection to the wearer too).

There's this recent official study by Public Health England on the effect of face coverings, ranging from N95 masks to non-medical masks. Bottom line: they all help to varying degrees. The evidence is not perfect, because this is all very hard to test for outside of laboratory settings, but the evidence that does exist points in the same direction.

...Particularly if the infected are specifically unvaccinated and don't wear masks. Behavior is then the only tool that can guarantee decreased infection rates, IMO.

Florida is outside all the time! Its the freaking Sunshine State. During the Summer the beaches are packed. There are all types of outdoor activities and events going on in Florida during the summer.
