Pierrick Fedrigo shall be my ultimate buy next year.

Have not even considered him. Hasn't he had back problems or something like that? Is he over them? Certainly a very good rider if injury free.

You guys are starting early this year. I don't think I'll start looking for real until november comes around. Granted things are looking pretty good for me this year so others might be more motivated that I am.

Dont waste your time. Just download the recent update and you will easily see in red all the losers AKA best picks for next season.

Thats why I believe that If we do the same amount of riders for next year the teams will be (probably) very similar if not identical ... Therefore I propose again to go with more riders for next year.

zzzz, Roche and Niemiec officially no chance for next season for me :(
I'm still considering Roche for next year, but gah indeed, he ruined everything in ten days.

Yeah was looking at Roche myself, Betancur too. Actually quite a few guys I was hoping to pick have suddenly found form. Just my luck!

After a year, I would like to commend Hugo for all his hard work.

Also, if the game happens next year I'd hate to see how similar all the team look. Everyone is going to do the 'Hitch' method of statistical analysis. :p

I was long thinking about Fedrigo too, but after checking I found he had somehow amassed about 550 points this year (less than 100 down on the previous). Which is ridiculous since I barely saw him this year, and the previous few years I'd seen him quite a lot.

So I scrapped him as a provisional myself.

Pick him again IMO.

I'm tempted to pick Stef Clement again, even though he's gone way above 2010.

Yep, he's on my long list. my team did poorly enough that I can then consider the majority of them for next season :D

For next year I would like to suggest to hide the teams of everyone until the 1st of January.

Last year the first to show their teams were pretty much screwed as everyone was able to check their team. I won't deny that I got some good picks which I found in the team of someone else.

Can't say I'm proud of that. So don't release the teams until the deadline has passed please.

Also isn't it a bit silly to talk about the best picks for next year? Keep them for yourselves ok? Well it's your own choice ofcourse :D

Last year some of us released our teams early because there was a deadline and a cap on how many teams could be entered. That was solved once the Excel geniuses worked some magic and fully automated the spreadsheet, allowing tons of people to join, so teams being made public too soon shouldn't be an issue this year - provided we can keep ourselves from talking too much about our picks, that is.

I finally made a shortlist. I have 75 guys to choose from.

109 rider list at the moment, 17 picked, 15 extremely close, then the rest in possible choice or outside chance categories. It will depend a little on the number of riders and number of points we are allowed.

For my potential team, I have 21 riders so far. And from a list including 115 riders, I have narrowed it down to 28 riders. I'm still going back to the CQ website to see if there's any key riders I have missed.

I just have to brag on myself a bit.

I was one of the "early entrants" and I'm pretty excited that despite not being able to view others entries I'm sitting in 6th place as of the last CQ update released. When I looked at my team and all the great looking picks that I had overlooked (and the fact I didn't max out the allowed number of riders), I thought top 25 or so would be as good as it would get. Instead... top 10.

I'm very happy about that. :)
