He said he wanted to ride in the Sky jersey...

Brad in one of his post race interviews says he really wants to do the ITT in his GB skin suit and that they will (respectfully - that's me reading between the lines) lose the jersey over the next few days but not by so much.

Wiggo doesn't want to be using another baggy ASO yellow skinsuit, like he was subjected to at Paris-Nice.

time for the french

Tomorrow's ride is an invitation for a few french riders to honor the race with a stage victory. Somebody who will not upset the overall much.. a good chance for Roland to practice getting away in front of the charging peloton on small climbs

Why dont they make there own in correct size beforehand just in case.

Anyway, he is going to spend the day at the back learning team names of his competitors. :)

It surprised me they hadn't for PN, and as I said come the Tour, if they haven't got a special yellow made up then IMO they have missed a trick.

I genuinely think the name thing he's pulled a couple of times this year is deliberate, part of the "focus on yourself and ignore everyone else" thing he's going for.

I think you're right, although I'd be surprised if Rolland was given any freedom.

I also think it's his "British" sense of humour. If what he said isn't a joke then he comes off as a ****** in my opinion.

It would be less galling if Porte and Rodgers would have the decency to rest up in the TT, but you know they won't.

You can't blame them. There are olympic TT places at stake here. Froome also needs to show something if he's going to get picked ahead of Millar.

I'm going to go for Simon Gerrans because he seems to be in really good shape (based on the prologue) and this finish could suit him.

He was in the crash with D.Martin. Got back on before the final climb but maybe the effort or crash took its toll

Nah, he used very little getting back to the group (as it coincided with BMC taking their foot off). He either dropped on the climb because he sucks (prologue wouldn't indicate as much) or more likely to try and get Durbridge back to the front.

I'm not sure if that final climb is hard enough but it is pretty long.
But yesterday degenkolb dropped pretty quickly on that last climb, but maybe it was a harder climb than today's.
I will go for gilbert, LLS or gerrans. I would not discount out evans too.
The mountains and hills before the final climb will soften some legs too

I think sky will get a lot of help from BMC today.
They seem to like to chase a lot and stay at the front whenever cadel is in the team.

Gerro was also trying to help Durbridge retain yellow (after Clarke buried himself helping Gerro back on) and may have been held back on that account.

So you didn't see him having to take Doi wheel at the start of the final climb, then?

Of those 4, I'd say it most suits LLS.
Why would Evans contest this?
After all, I thought you said yesterday that he doesn't want to take the leader's jersey, yet.

I totally forgot about that, didn't know it was degenkolb. He might want to contest the stage as it is an uphill finish. But he might work for gilbert too.
yesterday I was sure evans would not contest the stage and he did, today suits him more.
