Yeah, it's a steep climb tomorrow. So with Tony's kilograms he is actually more favorite then on a less steep climb right?

Martin, tucked in safely near the front, finished 24th (+59"). He lost no time in the GC, remaining in 2nd, 38" back from Wiggins. The team will look to the 166km Stage 6 on Saturday to potentially go for the yellow jersey.
Sylvain Chavanel, who was in the top 10 in the GC going into the stage, was in difficulty on the HC Grand Colombier. The climb was 17.4km, with a 7.1% average gradient. It also was 12% in sections, with a max ramp of 16 percent.

Dekker_Tifosi said:Bold prediction. Dekker could very well top 15 tomorrow. I don't see Tony doing the same on Joux Plane![]()
I won't see anyway, I'm gone this weekend ;-)

Il Falco has spoken, thanksSafeBet said:Savoldelli himself has stated a numbers of time that Nibali is a descender of note.

I'm pleasantly surprised by Van den Broeck's season so far. 4th in Algarve, 3rd in Catalonia, 12th in Basque Country, 10th in Flèche Wallonne. But actually, compared to his past results, they are only slightly better than 2011 and 2010. He's no Andy.Dekker_Tifosi said:JvdB doesn't finish in the bus in Pais Vasco. He at least finishes decently. He was also 4th in Catalunya
Kender said:yep that 1 attack won him the tour

How about you watch a stage before deciding if someone descends like a Schleck?
A novel idea perhaps, but worth a try.

At some point you ll realise talk of wiggos bad descending is just forum BS and stop repeating it without checking stuff out for yourself.
Also see devious frenchy excuse above (although I'd pay more attention to the 'mistake' admission ie they weren't paying attention)

Anyway, how does that make sense. So this forum doesn't like winners, but Cuddles got huge amounts of **** before he won, but not after?

Was I ever comparing evans and nibali's descending skills to the likes of spartacus and salvoldelli.
Sure maybe they are not at their level but they are great descenders.
They have showed time and time again.
Nibali showed it in the giro 2010 and 2011.
Did you see Cadel on stage 16 of the tour last year, yeah the one wiggins crashed out. Were you even following the race after that?
Yeah wiggins might not be a totally bad descender,
but if you compare it to evans and nibali descending he isn't at their level.

I see what your saying. Just to put it into simple terms. Before Cadel won last year. With the exception of our antipodean brothers, Cadel was disregarded as someone who will not win the tour and is generally ****. Then he won the tour. Andy was and still is given so much **** on this forum it's unbelieveable. Wiggins is clear favourite this year yet the forum suddenly hate him or at least hate his supporters.
Crazy. And it is the veteran bloggers of this forum that are the most naive.![]()

Fetisoff said:So you're saying Wiggins is as much of a "clear favourite to win" this year, as Cadel was last year? OK, I can live with that.
Someone like Hesjedal never got any hate before, during, or after he won this year's Giro, you know
