Vingegaard could overtake a rider before T1, so that could explain his fast start. But i also think their current bike simply isn't as fast.Interestingly, Jumbo seem to have taken a step back in performance when it comes to aerodynamics. I think in the flatter windy sections every Jumbo rider so far this season has been quite underwhelming, when it's more about power (uphill) they seem to be fine.
Don't underestimate Big Mik.1.90 m and 78 kg doesn't exactly scream "Good climber".
Considering numbers besides the 1 for each team are handed out alphabetically, there‘s a good chance.Bjerg should be the first one on the startlist for Le Tour after Pogi. What a beast!
Bjerg tried to ride for GC a few times as a U23 iirc when he was a teamleader. But he's never before rode for himself though. It would be silly for UAE to not try and just default to make him help Yates, who is 50 seconds down.
How do you win an ITT by five metres? This TT would have Remco win by 5m.

Horquette d'Aniczan 2022
I assume aero is a part of diminishing returns. Maybe others are catching up to the level of JV. (or maybe most people are having an advantage with the new rules. Bjerg for example.. which brings up the level of the bigger guys.)Interestingly, Jumbo seem to have taken a step back in performance when it comes to aerodynamics. He's no longer focusing on ITTs, and he's just returned from injury.Campenaerts not even trying in a TT? ... 7min 53s Whats up with that.
